Active surveillance or not for localisedprostate cancer
Glesson 3+4, dre normal, psa 4.2, no symptoms, grade T2 Value now time quality of life and could go for the surveillance, treatment would be radiotherapy and possible hormone therapy with side effects not to be laughed at. Anyone else on active surveillance?

Recurrence after 2.5 year break from ADT
This is a quick note to thank all of the members here who have shared their experiences and knowledge. After a 2.5 year break from Casodex and Lupron, my husband's PSA started increasing in August 2022. It's still low but is now at 2.9. His oncologist ordered several scans including a PSMA. As results

Prostate Removal
I was diagnosed in 2019 with advanced Prostate Cancer with bone, lung, and lymph mets....why wasn't prostate removal even discussed? Seems to me that getting rid of the original habitat might be a good thing. I went straight to ADT + Zytiga and Prednisone

Could we switch to Zytiga now to make hormone therapy work longer?
I've read the article that Tall_Allen included in one of the posts: https://www.prostatecancer.news/2019/12/optimal-chemohormonal-sequencing-for.html "After cross-over, PSA was reduced by more than 30% in 36% of those who had Xtandi-second vs only in 4% of those who had Zytiga-second" If I had known

Anyone with knowledge, personal experience, studies, trials with Radical Prostatectomy after bone, lymph node and/or soft tissue metastases?

ALP back within range
Since my first blood test at the point of diagnosis, my alkaline phosphatase (ALP) has been above range (range = 20 - 150 u/l, readings were between 206 and 220). I assume this is due to having several bone mets. However, after just 3 months on ADT alone (Prostap), my ALP has dropped to well within

Completed the Mtn Pack of virtual hikes: Everest, Fuji, and Kilamanjaro
Just hiking them, not much of a runner after 7 1/2 years on ADT with anemia/Low Hgb! So grateful to be able to get outdoors and listen to Audible (On now - Conversations with Dick Winters of Easy Company from D-Day) and put miles in. You pair up the Conqueror App to your Hiking app, in my case "Map

ADT medication types and timing before Radiotherapy
I wonder what the experience and clinical view is about when to start radiotherapy for advance but contained (as far as can be known by a PMSA scan). Looking for City of Hope prostate oncologist
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer GS 9 in August 2019. Mets were suspected but the scans were not conclusive. I completed ADT, 18 months, and brachy and SBRT. I came off ADT in Jan. 2021. My psa rose to about 0.6 and held steady for four months. In the last three months it has gone from 0.577

stage 4, PSA .8 and psma shows nothing, what to do now?
looking for options on ridding myself of this disease at age 61. Did prostectomy and radiation and ADT so far. No treatment currently and PSMA was clear. Was thinking of going overseas to get Lu-177 since not able to in US. Thoughts?

Zytiga Failed Me Bigtime
I've had a constant problem with rising PSA for the past 18 months. First went on ADT in Sept 2020 when my PSA hit 165, 14 weeks after surgery. After going on Lupron and Erleada my PSA dropped to .20 in 6 months. After that it did nothing but rise back up to 120 about 4 weeks ago. After the Erleada
