looking for options on ridding myself of this disease at age 61. Did prostectomy and radiation and ADT so far. No treatment currently and PSMA was clear. Was thinking of going overseas to get Lu-177 since not able to in US. Thoughts?

stage 4, PSA .8 and psma shows nothing, what to do now?
Hello,
Your PSA is still very low, I would wait until it climbs a little higher. More concerning to me is your idea of going overseas (Germany, Australia, India and numerous other countries) to receive the Lutetium. The idea is a good one but if your PSMA is “clear” then I wonder why you are considering this option. Your PSMA has to be “avid” on a PET scan in order for the Lutetium to work. For 80% of men this is the case. Unfortunately, for the other 20% of men they have one of the nastier forms of metastatic PCa and the Lutetium does not work. That is why they call it Theranostics, a combination of Therapy and Diagnostics. They go hand-in-hand. Good luck!
They will not treat what they can not see. If you do not have radiographic progression of the cancer and PSMA positive mets no treatment is necessary and nobody if going to treat you with Lu 177 PSMA.
You will have to wait until the PSA value gets higher for the PSMA PET/CT. At a PSA of 0.8 the PSMA PET/CT will not detect mets in many cases. Wait until it gets above 2.0.
You can't do that with nothing on PSMA PET. Without PSMA-avid tumors to attract the radioactivity, it would be very toxic.
How would you know if it did anything. Curious about your success metric with this treatment.
