sounds pretty kewl. I never heard of it before you mentioned it. We have a lot of runners and cycling guys on the group that might like it as an alternative outdoor exercise. Change of pace type thing. The medals remind me of Volksmarch medals that each little town and village in Germany gives out for completing their local hikes or small family mountain climbs / hikes.
I’ll bet after all that yayahahahaya. I was walking around in Tehachapi and the Great Wall a few minutes later, this to see what you were looking at. I have an app on my quest VR googles that allows me to walk around / look around just about everywhere on planet earth.
Similar to what you are doing, nowadays people can kinda replicate those trips you simulated in their house with an automated treadmill or advanced stationary bike while wearing a pair of Virtual Reality googles. It the upscale bikes and treadmills that already have a large video screen and programs built in, but kicks it up a notch with virtual reality. VR Google programs are established pain relievers while using them ….. first pioneered in pediatrics but now used for adults too. My wife used to promote the pediatric versions at CME and conventions for UCSF , S.F. … works pretty great, I use VR for mild - moderate pain breaks frequently.
Oh that sounds awesome, about the VR being used for pain relief. I have never heard of it being used that way, but that sounds logical, a 3D distraction from the chronic pain is Heaven sent. I'm so glad that it works for you Brother💙
Did a 3.1 for my Great Wall and was crazy windy, and that's why there are windmills out on the hills. Many of my pts work for different wind companies.
out near where those windmills are installed , I’ve spent dozens of hours …using a truckload of scientific instruments , including thermal imaging, geomagnetic detectorsrs and wide band rf analyzers … looking for the fabled “ Tehachapi covert underground complex “. ( Google it ) up at the end of Sand Canyon Road. It’s powered by the terminus of the small Kern river hydro plant.
Tehachapi is interesting because it’s located at the end on the mountain range where desert , east side , and desert / coastal western side weather patterns converge. This causes Tehachapi to have bizarre weather and temperature changes different than almost all neighboring cities and counties. It’s an interesting place , for many reasons. Yayahahahaya
Yes, crazy weather up here, sometimes we get snow days, as some patients live at 7000ft and roads aren't plowed, or Hygienist can't get in fwy cuz of accidents.
