paradoxical B12 deficiency. Might this be my problem? Anybody know how to treat?
I’ll try the Pernicious
Anaemia
forum too though I get the feeling this isn’t really their area.

Update- I no longer take Dipyridamole
I have been meaning to update the group on this. I have stopped taking Dipyridamole for over a month now, closer to two months. I took Dipyridamole for two years. I was nearing the end of my Dipyridamole supply. I was wondering how much it was helping. So I stopped abruptly. Since then I have

Good Morning I have suffered with my condition for over 20 years and have also been told I was born with it, the doctor agrees I have all the symptoms of fibromyalgia but says they haven't givin it that label as it all falls under the same umbrella of musculoskeletal disorder, which is what I have

Chronic pain , degenerative spinal disease
Every 8 weeks I have a B12 injection for management of Pernicious
Anaemia
diagnosed in 1985. However, the pains shooting into my toes and burning sensation around week 6, drives me crazy. The GP is nice but does not understand my predicament.

Problems with medication supplies
Hi. Since I recently swapped to home deliveries for medication, every 4 weeks some meds are missing or out of stock.I didn't have this problem when I ordered directly from the GP, changed over because I was struggling to get into town to collect my prescriptions. The messages from Lloyds Pharmacy says

Hi, All! I've been doing pretty well since my diagnosis and b12 injections for 5 months or so. I still had some lingering symptoms that I felt were not related to pernicious anemia. GP wont prescribe Hydroxycobalamin until further blood tests conducted despite neuro involvement.
Good morning.I've found this forum out of desperation having experienced what I now know are symptoms of B12 deficiency for a few years. After repeated B12 levels over the years which consistently showed my levels dropping (treatable since 2021 in some parts of the country) they were finally low enough

Advice and explanation pls
I should mention I have pernicious
anaemia
so on b12 injections also had very low vit d, so also treating that last 2 months (under a private dr for b12 and vit d ) in case there is any relevance as PA and hashi's are autoimmune diseases

What does this mean?
Hi. Me = male, ET, 80 year old. I am off to see the Haematologist on Tuesday so I asked the GP surgery for a copy of my latest Blood count - and I would appreciate any comments. All levels refer to 'normal' reference ranges My White Blood Cell count, MCV, MCH, Neutrophil and Basophil are all above

B12 217ng/L low folate/serum ferritin
Hello,I have been suffering with exhaustion, lighted head and occasionally hard to catch my breath. My doctor ran bloods, my folate is low at 3.4ug/L, serum ferritin 19.9ug/L and B12 is within range at 218ng/L(but low end). I'm wondering did anyone take B12 shots with these levels and did it help? Or

Pernicious Anaemia
Hi Guys I have had B12 above reference range (NHS UK so probably a very outdate reference range system) GP told me it was high a year ago. Nobody had told me! I don't take any B12 supplements or multi vitamins ( I take Vit D and Vit c separately daily only) I also have "borderline" full blood count

Advice on best treatment
I have had CLL since 2013 watch and wait. Recently hemoglobin levels dropped and a bit anemic so been advised 3 types of treatment. However left to make own choice. Guess would like to know what other people have tried and how effective treatment was.

intrinsic factor test
My GP agreed to do an intrinsic factor antibody test. The test he did was IgA and the results came back as within normal range.1.10gl normal range 0.8 to 4.0 . Was this the correct test for pernicious anemia? Thank you

hashimotos and hypo/hyperparathyrodism
I also have a diagnosis of pernicious
anaemia
which can also cause hypo/hyperparathyroidism. I do not believe a GP would have enough knowledge in this field to know what tests to request.
