Reversing Out

Good day friends. I need some help and advice.

I was diagnosed with autoimmune atrophic gastritis, I have started EOD B12 injections about 1 month ago.

My symptoms have gotten worse, first it was muscle twitches that have now gotten better

But stomach issues are worse, I am starting to have what I think is Reflux/ Gerd. I have never had this in my life.

Has anyone experienced worsening stomach issues like me?

Thank you kindly

I also had never had reflux before. Also nausea .

Tinnitus.

Migraines.

All totally new to me .

I also had alarming yellow stools.

Keep going if nothing else has been found to treat.

It does get better

I'm 5 yesrs in now.I think I've blanked out alot .

Is in diaries .

I was on EOD for about 5 months.

I think it was only st that stage i felt I could reduce injections as symptons settled a bit.

We are all different .

Also depends on where you started .

Age ect .

Hoping it a shorter duration.

Main thing is it's working to heal your body.

hi there, yes I had no stomach issues but like Nackapan developed them when starting daily injections. They settled down after about 3 months. I’ve been on daily injections for sometime now and have learned about low stomach acid. So I now take digestive enzymes to help with my digestion. All my stomach issues cleared up. I think they were just reversing out symptoms.

Hi DiNL. Thank you

What was your diagnosis?

May I ask what of stomach symptoms you had and what enzymes you took?

Thank you

I have an AIG diagnosis and PA diagnosis. I tested positive for parietal cell antibodies and intrinsic factor antibodies. I had zero problems with my stomach. So it was a surprise but once I started b12 injections, my symptoms got worse before they got better. My stomach felt like it had bees flying around. I remember saying to a friend that it felt as if a volcano was bubbling inside. Having said this… it settled. I do have a lot of burping… but the digestive enzymes I am taking have helped this a lot! I just take one with my main evening meal. They have betaine HCL in them. Along with other things…. They work very well. Now I just have a few weird buzzing in my lower legs and am trying to cut back on my b12 injections but I have been on them for over a year. All my stomach issues have got better. I take a gut repair from Terra Origin.

Sounds very similar to me. How old are you when diagnosed? I am 42 now

Did you ever have reflux feeling?

How much betaine to those enzymes have in them?

I will look up Terra origin. Thank you

I am not sure about reflux, if u mean burping then yes…the digestive enzymes I take have 65mg of betaine HCL in them. I am 46 years old and was diagnosed at 45. I had issues with my iron. I had some iron infusions when I was diagnosed but have managed to keep my iron up using heme iron. I have heard of others struggling with absorbing iron with AIG. But heme iron tablets are great for me. I test my blood every 4 months. Since I have been on them I am maintaining my iron well. I am in the Netherlands.

Hi Canadian 77, I've never had stomach issues except after gall bladder removal 3 years ago, which I now think was a post op B12 plummet... then started injections in December since when I've had 3 awful bouts of gastritis and lost 10lbs without trying, just because I could only eat broth and porridge. I have been hoping it's reversing out, maybe nerves healing in gut and diaphragm? But definitely my worst symptom and totally unexpected. Gradually improving now, taking a vile but effective bacteria/herb soothing shot first thing, plus bitters before meals and apple cider vinegar gummies after. What with all that plus the iron, folic acid and Vitamin D I need a spreadsheet... Sounds as though we are not alone with this issue, and that it does gradually settle. Can't happen soon enough! Hope you start to feel better xx

Hi, thank you very much for your reply.

May I ask what your diagnosis was? Mine is autoimmune gastritis.

Which kind of bacteria/ herb do you take?

Mine is non auto immune pernicious aneamia, no positive intrinsic factor antibody test although it's in my family, and I believe I have the autoimmune version now renamed autoimmune gastritis in the UK. I'm away at the moment so just decanted some of the bacteria/herb liquid into a plain bottle and left the rest at home...I'll try to get the name but I know it's a small maker and probably only available in the UK.

Not what you're looking for?
