Case Report of PA with SACD in Japan
This wasn't even a complex case, for example lacking
anaemia
or a functional deficiency, so there seems really no excuse for not catching that via a regular B12 serum downtrend over time along with MCV.

Anyone had an iron infusion
His ferritin is also stubbornly low for which he’s been recommended an iron infusion for deficiency
anaemia
and injections for his B12 deficiency I’m ok about the B12 injections but for some reason feel a bit nervous about the infusion but that’s probably because I don’t know an awful lot about it

Hydroxocobalamin injections
I was diagnosed with pernicious
anaemia
in 1992 (inherited it through maternal line). Does anyone know where I can order it from? I am highly allergic to Cyanocobalamin.

Very fast pulse that I do not understand. Help!
I have somewhat neglected my hypothyroidism over the last couple of years to concentrate on my more recently diagnosed Pernicious
Anaemia
, Bile acid malabsorption and atrophic gastritis.

Changing to Momelitinib
She did infer my
anaemia
should have been more of a concern before now. My haemoglobin is often below 80, and is currently 76. Hopefully the Momelitinib will help raise my blood counts fairly quickly. She did warn me about side effects, nausea, dizziness etc.

A long shot…
Hi, I’m usually posting to the pernicious
anaemia
forum but I’m also hypo. I have downloaded the list containing NHS endocrinologists and I was wandering?

High platelet count due to iron deficiency anaemia maybe?
Just again when I thought all was going well ! High platelet count from recent blood test shows Platelet count 515 10*9/L Platelet count has been abnormal for some time, but never this high. Not sure whether I should request the ferrous sulphate again, OR could it be PMR flare. I have felt pretty

Private GP visit
She was very nice about it, but really didn’t feel I have pernicious
anaemia
. She did agree that both pregabalin and omeprazole can mess with the body and that I was right to stop both of them. So a little frustrated.

NICE guideline on B12 Deficiency diagnosis and monitoring in over 16s
What does this mean for those with Pernicious
whether formally diagnosed or not?
What does it mean with those struggling to get sufficiently frequent treatment for their B12 deficiency?

Target iron levels
Had 3 blood tests over last 9 months to monitor low iron /
anaemia
and effect of taking iron supplement (ferrous Fumarate 210mg per day). Advised by GP ( week before last blood test) that I am not currently anaemic ( how did they know?) and iron supplement withdrawn.

Haematologist’s unsupportive B12 response
My own research brings up haemolytic
anaemia
, another autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks red blood cells. Thank you all in advance 🙏☺️

pernicious anemia
I was diagnosed back in Feb this year after my Intrinsic Factor blood test came back positive and I was diagnosed with Pernicious
anaemia
. I went to the drs with symptoms of exhaustion, pins and needles, heart palpitations and nausea as well as brain fog.

Restless legs and iron anaemia
Pronounced iron
anaemia
, but no possibility of iron infusion in Denmark. So I'm now taking iron tablets, but I'm not sure how much iron I should take? My doctor knows less about restless legs, about augmentation and how much iron in iron
anaemia
than I do!

Banging my head against a brick wall
ferritin is only 8 still (5-204) HB is 124(115-160) I believe you can have iron deficiency without
anaemia
but GP, consultant , won’t have it.
