Steroids - to take or not to take
I've had asthma for a few years, it started after a viral chest infection. I'm on symbicort SMART 200/6 2 puffs twice a day, plus 10g montelukast. A couple of weeks ago I got a bad cold, which immediately affected my chest. As soon as the cold started I went up to 2 puffs of symbicort 3 times a day,

9 weeks GBS
Hi, I'm 9 weeks pregnant and my urine shows I have Gbs, I had a group b strep infection a few months before I fell pregnant but thought this was sorted after taking antibiotics for it. My concern is if I still had this GBS infection at the time I conceived does that mean my baby will already be infected

Just a quick update on my incarceration. I'm still on heavy duty antibiotics, Amoxicillin and Clucloxicillin every three hours round the clock, although my Picc line had to be taken out a couple of days ago due to a clot at the heart end. This info was delivered very casually and didn't seem to be giving

Advice on taking Amoxicillin for tooth abscess while on levothyroxine
Hi, I usually take my levothyroxine at 7am. Today I've been prescribed Amoxicillin to take three times a day for an abscess under a root canal tooth. How long should I leave after my levo dose before I take this. Also could anyone advise a good pro biotic to also take? I have to go back to have further

My itch is still there a tiny bit at night but no where near as bad. The last bloods over a week ago show improvement.

I am miffed!!
I have yet another chest infection - this time it merited the paramedics who were brilliant. It seems now this will get worse unless I am on my rescues permanently. I have been bringing loads of blood stained sputum. The GP has been informed and I am for another chest X-ray. What bothers me is

When I saw my doctor today she let me know that I am GBS positive. She said not to lose sleep over it, because

It's also making the tooth move a bit hence the pain eating He's prescribed antibiotics, just amoxicillin 500 3 x a day. He's told me once the infection had gone find a dentist

Do you think I could be pregnant?
My period has never really been regular and it always changes from how long it lasts or when it decides to come. I had my usual period pains a few days ago that I normally get when I'm going to come on, and I know that a lot of people say that period pains are similar to pregnancy symptoms, but I know

Had non stop problems since November, bronchitus, astma, humid work conditions
Hey, I've always had asthma but it now feels out of control. In November, I became ill. It started with a temperature and I developed a chesty cough. I thought it would go and saw a doctor after two weeks. I also lost my voice. He told me I had laryngitis, he prescribed amoxicillin and a medical mouthwash

Antibiotics Prescribed plus increase in medication
I saw the doctor today and she prescribed amoxicillin but has asked me to hold off on them till I've upped my ventolin to 5 puffs, 4 times a day to use with my aerochamber. I'm to also continue with symbicort - 2 puffs morning and night. She's prescribed some more Prednisolone to keep in reserve if

Hi. I'm totally new to this community and forum. This is my first post on here. Maybe this long detailed account of my experience this week, might help some other asthmatic who is or will be going through a similar thing and is feeling worried and scared. I've had a lousy week with my asthma and feeling
