Please help.
He has had numerous physio appointments and injections to try and relieve the pain with no success over this period and over the past couple of weeks he has been put onto
Amitriptyline
, I am aware this can take a few weeks to work. He now seems to sleep alot of the time.

God awful side effects of steroids!!!
I am already taking fluoxetine and
amitriptyline
....... has any one got any suggestions ??? I want to take Valium but I think the docs limit that due to addictive ness. Any suggestions about meds... would be so helpful.

Had enough!
I’m now trying linseed and even decided to try out a low dose of
Amitriptyline
(anti depressant), but NOTHING seems to be working. Severe constipation and awful bloating and wind. Would very much appreciate some help, pleeeeeeease???

I have had BT today to see if I am suitable for the Azathioprine so will be on
amitriptyline
first for a couple of weeks. If you Rheumy is awful, change! Whether these meds work or not, at least she seemed to listen and understand. Best wishes to all

My "funny" hips and exercise...
I said that I don't want to take pain killers (have stopped taking the
amitriptyline
as don't think they made much difference, only took them at night). I said I'd recently sourced somewhere close by that I can access hydrotherapy, pain management, physiotherapy - AND a anti-gravity treadmill.

Getting desperate
My rheumatologist says to increase the
amitriptyline
and to start gabapentin. My neurologist says to stop the
amitriptyline
and start a SSRI. I get the feeling that no-one really knows what is going on. If anyone has ANY ideas, I would be most grateful. Thanks!

amitriptyline
Can anyone tell me why when I accidentally dropped a tablet into something I was eating and resulted in me chewing it, my mouth, mostly my tongue and throat started burning? My throat started to feel like it was closing, and my tongue was on fire. I tried rinsing my mouth and ice cubes on my tongue,

Question about amitriptyline
If I stayed off
amitriptyline
and replaced it with a daily dose of Ibuprofen up to 800mg daily, from a health perspective would this be better to be on than
amitriptyline
long term or would
amitriptyline
be the recommended long-term solution?

Afraid of side effects
just been given 20mg of Vimovo AND 10mg
Amitriptyline
while waiting for diagnosis from Rheumy. Assured its not for depression as don't have it but works on same nervous system. Blood pressure, heart rhythms etc are all mentioned in leaflet as contra indicator's.

Good Endocrinologist in West Yorkshire?
I spent 4 hours in A&E last night following 2 hours of palpitations which the dr today said could be caused by the 40mg of
amitriptyline
I am taking daily. He changed it to duloxetine which is for pain but with less side effects apparently.

Newbie Ruby :-)
I am on
Amitriptyline
and Tramadol but it does not take away the gnawing pain in my pelvis and legs - also, I have not bled for 3 months this time around - that's just not normal. Sorry for being a bit blue today - will do my best to keep my chin up! Have a lovely day all :-)

Have I got COPD?
I'm getting a little worried about my condition, I feel like someone is squeezing air out of my throat every time I inhale, I currently take
amitriptyline
which were prescribed as a muscle relaxant for my throat when modules were found on my voice box, tbh my throat has never really felt right since
