thinking 'well everyone who gets it seems to complain that they don't sleep, but hey: I have secret weapon that I'm gonna keep using'.

Chronic Pain
On my long journey over the years I've lost count of all the different types of treatments and spinal injections I've had, plus all the different types of medication I take, like Fentanyl, Oramorph, Gabapentin,
Amitriptyline
, Celecoxib, Venlafaxine, Trazodone and a few others for different things.

What are your symptoms? Had endometriosis 20 years, only diagnosed last summer!
I was also getting very numb when sitting down, but
Amitriptyline
seems to have helped with that. I also get excruciating pain sometimes before a bowel movement, or with gas. Nobody seems to be able to understand that one!

It didn't work 😭
For those who remember that I was hoping that my worsened condition due to
amitriptyline
would reflect in my latest round of blood results...it didn't! ANA was back down at 1:80 and zero zip zilch extractable antibodies of any kind.

Should I wait longer?
Hello everyone, I've been on my
Amitriptyline
for 4 weeks now and I don't feel like the depression is lifting at all. It has helped my anxiety so much but depression - no! Should I give it more time? I'm up to 50mg now.

I am glad she did as I have tried 3 SSRIs and venlafaxine and I find

works for me. It is not right for everyone, pre-existing health conditions esp to do with the heart is usually not recommended for

Any meds that don't cause weight gain?
I have tried gabapentin,
amitriptyline
and pregabalin, but all made me so hungry I put on considerable amounts of weight. Co-Codamol doesn't do that, but can be addictive, so not allowed to take it every day. I heard that in the USA some people use meds like Adderal, with great results.

Saliva Adrenal Testing while on Antidepressents
My only concern is could the fact I am on
Amitriptyline
cause the results to be out of line? I am only on a small dose 30 a night. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Mood changes
I feel since taking
amitriptyline
I have more mood swings and I can be irritable and irrational. It is starting to cause problems with relationships and brings me down. I am normally a very outgoing young lady.
