My pelvic pain story: still on the journey to a diagnosis and feeling discouraged
I am 30 years old and I’ve been experiencing severe pelvic pain almost since I began menstruating 17 years ago. Prescription NSAIDs, first doled out to me some time in my mid-teens, have outlasted more than one romantic relationship and several friendships as a constant presence in my life. By 19, mefenamic

Has anyone else struggled with diagnosis? Help!
Hi I’m hoping someone on here can help me please! I’ve always struggled with my periods and visited the doctors countless times since the beginning of high school (I’m 19 in full time work now). I feel like I always got fobbed off and told it was normal and have been given different contraceptive pills

Hi to all my ABI friends! It’s been an interesting year for me, as a retired 71-year old I thought I had experienced most of life’s ups and downs. But No …..I started with auto-immune encephalitis seizures in March 2020. Wondering why I had not appeared one morning, my wife found me naked

This made me to make this post for the benefit of all of those who are interested to know more. Well as the name indicates- it is Low in Fat and it is a Plant Based Whole

Liothyronine trial update
5 weeks into my T3 trial and sadly, it’s not been beneficial so far. I don’t feel any better. (In fact my health is awful- but I’m putting it down to lockdown blues/inactivity/crap diet) but it’s a catch 22 situation. I feel so terribly low in mood, so not eating the best, joints are painful so exercise

Help! Pain relief advice needed!
Hello ladies. So long story cut short, had Endo and had it removed 1 and half years ago, been diagnosed with adenomyosis now. Lots of lovely pain, had zoladex but now off it and just dealing with it with mefanamic acid and Amytriptyline. So the big question is, does anyone take cbd oil with Amytriptyline

Performance enhancing drugs.
First up, I I tried Creatine and Branch Chained
Amino
Acids
. No discernable effect. I'm talking specifically about spasticity and muscle strength here. Endurance. Walking, balance, etc Next, modafinil (banned by the IOC). Very good for my spasticity, the ability to focus on walking.

HRT in late 50's
I am investigating about HRT and have been reading lots of good things about helping with osteoporosis. I am thinking about trying HRT as I have post menopausal issues and to help with OP. However my GP insists that after 50, it's of zero use. I have found good studies and even the ROS recommend it

Period Won't Stop!
So, I just want to start off by saying I do have PCOS so my periods have always been irregular and a bit crazy. I'm very much used to going a while without them - my longest cycle between periods was about 3 months. However, since about May last year, they've changed. In May, I bled for around a 3

Study shows hyaluronan is effective in treating chronic lung disease.
Researchers at the National Institutes of Health and their collaborators found that inhaling unfragmented hyaluronan improves lung function in patients suffering from severe exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Hyaluronan, a sugar secreted by living tissue that acts as a scaffold

Dosage reduction
Following on from my post a month ago, this is where I am now. Continued with 10 mg daily until I reached 6 weeks, then reduced to 9 mg, which is where I am now. My Dr wants me to continue to taper slowly by 1 mg every 6-8 weeks. Dr prefers to focus on symptoms rather than blood tests. I asked if
