AMH - what the?!

Hi lovelies,So I paid for some private bloods last month as I was taking DHEA and realised I should probably check my levels. Turns out they were way too high 😕 Have had to reduce that a lot.

However - within the test I also had AMH done. It came back as 4.81 pmol/l which was a shock as last year in August it was 1.8 pmol/l. I thought AMH only ever decreased?! Has anyone else had this?

I'm now also overly excited as I feel like my next round might go better with this improvement and I think I need brining back down to earth! Thanks all xxx

This happened to me. My first AMH result was 3.5 pmol. My second result was 9.3 pmol. I personally didn't see much difference in my IVF results when it was 3.5 vs 9.3, as both values were classed as low ovarian reserve and I think they can fluctuate a little. However this was only my personal experience and there will be variability between people anyway so please don't take my experience as the rule. Good luck x

Ah thanks for this and sorry to hear it 😩 My acupuncturist said they don't even take that into account but the clinic seems to put so much emphasis on it. Not sure why. Started a long protocol so guess I'll find out in a few weeks anyway! Xx

That's so good ♥️ Usually UK clinics won't say anything as it's not really used over here! Hope your success keeps coming xx

hi lovely I think it’s all within realms of normal small fluctuations. Mine was originally 6.1 pmol/l (low for my age back then) and then dropped to 2.4 after a year or so, then within a couple of months of that up to 7.5! then last time was 4.9. My response to stims and AFC been quite static through that.

Good luck with your cycle! xx
