Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation without anticoagulant
I’ve recently been diagnosed with PAF and was initially prescribed a beta-blocker (Solatol) and the anticoagulant Dabigatran. After taking only three tablets of the latter I had a subconjunctival haemorrhage (the white part of the eye becomes incredibly bloodshot - it looks horrible but cleared up in

I am new to this site. My daughter passed away 9 months ago She was 30. Since then I have severe anxiety that something is going to happen to me. Every time I have a pain in my chest or my heart is racing I think it's heart disease or signs of a heart attack. I don't sleep at night and it's just

Could somebody look at my blood test results please and tell me if everything's okay? Thank you.
Hi, I posted on the cholesterol community and they told me to post my blood test results here. This is what was in my post over at cholesterol: Hi, I recently had a blood test at work and haven't had chance to take the results to my GP yet. I should start by saying I have a family history of heart disease

Scared, palpatations
Evening all, Can’t sleep so come on here for advice and to ease my mind. I suddenly started to get palpitations about 1hr ago and they aren’t shifting, I always think the worst and I’m going to have a heart attack or somthing. I know I will be ok but I can’t seem to get the thought out of my head

Parkinson’s
Hi, I have had Parkinson’s for about three years. I have tried so many medicines but they have not given me respite. In February I was in Cambodia when I ran out of my meds. In Cambodia I found Sinemet, this seemed to give me total rest of all my symptoms. Sadly when I got home, I was not able to find

PAF highs and lows on holiday
Any advice please? I’ve just returned from holiday and missed a life long wish to see the Great Wall. I walked about a mile up a fairly steep incline in 30 degrees to the cable car where a notice said anyone with heart disease, high blood pressure or insanity shouldn’t travel. I felt I had all three

Oils
DASH diets and similar (Esselstyn) advise against oil and yet high Omega 3 (eg through oil) is supposed to be protective for strokes and heart disease etc. Is Omega 3 not included in 'oils'?

Panic Attacks
I was having panic attacks and intense chest pain everyday multiple times a day. I got a normal blood test and ekg. These good results along with different techniques helped me learn to control the attacks and I was doing much better. However, today I went up a stair case and got intense chest pain in

Panic attack or heart attack?
So tonight out of nowhere, my stomach just started going crazy, hurting and stuff. After that, I tried laying down and I felt better for a little while and then I started feeling very on edge and like something very bad is going to happen, I can't convince myself that I'm OK, my mind is telling me this
