Yes, the final comments in the article from Professor Pascal Meier are probably the most significant. Lowering cholesterol per se is not the answer, lifestyle and nutrition is a major factor in causing and conversely preventing inflammation

Very interesting indeed. I refused to go on the pcsk9 injection recently. Seems i was right. More of a sticking plaster on a symptom than addressing the inflammation.

The important information what we all need to understand is lost in big articles!

I am trying my best for my wife to go on high BP medication. Now she is trying on life style change and regular exercise, again the information was from another article..

I think the professor is very misleading. Cholesterol is super important to heart disease and stroke risk - but not quite the way people think.

Total cholesterol includes LDL cholesterol and Remnant cholesterol.

Remnant cholesterol is dangerous (see 'cholesterol code')

LDL includes VLDL.

VLDL is very dangerous
