Atorvastatin and Amlodipine
Hi folks .. I have been taking Amlodipine 10mg for years without any problems. Recently I was referred to a consultant cardiologist for possible Angina. I also have raised cholesterol (6.6) so he prescribed Atorvastatin 40mg.. In the leaflet it says not to take this statin with Amlodpine as it interacts

Heart Attack Anxiety
Does anyone here, notably women, who have anxiety around having a heart attack find themselves obsessively researching symptoms? At first, it was just reading a symptom thing where I learned female heart attack warnings are a lot like having literally anything else. Now I’ve found myself reading terrifying

Heart Attack Fear
Hi guys, A lot of people post in here about their health anxiety and I just wanted to say you are NOT alone. In June, I had my first panic attack and was so convinced it was a heart attack I did endless amounts of googling and research into what the symptoms were, survival stories, risk rates, etc.,

New research finds an elevated risk of type 2 diabetes among people who take statins in an effort to lower their cholesterol levels.

Silent Heart Attack
For those who suffer nerve damage Inc periferal, automatic, etc. I was told today that if you have this type of damage then and I do not mean to cause panic but if you were to have a heart attack you may not feel it due to the nerve damage. If this is true then just be aware. Admin note: silent heart

Just a little about me, diagnosed June 2016, started with sinemet 100mg three times a day, now three years later meds look like this. Sinemet 250mg four times a day, requip 2mg once daily extended release. Having problems with dyskinesia, bad leg and foot cramps, will be seeing a new neurologist in October

Another random attack
Hi all! I should start by saying that I have been on 10mg buspar twice a day for nearly 2 months. 90% of the time I do great, the other 10% not so much...like yesterday (I had just tense feelings all day), but today, a full on attack. I was at my mom's house with my 6yo daughter. It came on strong and

Dealing with panic attacks
Hi everyone 2 years ago, I suffered with health anxiety. After some councilling, it did seem to go away. Last year it came back for a short while but it wasn't as intense as before. 2 weeks ago, my dad nearly passed away by anathalactic shock (he's fine now thank goodness), and this has set off my anxiety

Talk me down, over reacting but anxiety telling me I’m having a heart attack.
For the past few days (3-4) my medication doesn’t seem to be keeping my anxiety at bay. Tonight I have pain in my upper back, fullness in the middle of my chest, lump in my throat, nausea, and tingling in my jaw. Obviously because of my health anxiety I am now convinced I am having a heart attack because

Anxiety bad for no reason
My anxiety has just flared up real bad this morning, at about 4 am, no reason for the flare up. So 3.5 hours ago I woke up, feeling nauseous, palpitations, lump in my throat, chest pains and now I’m trying to rationalise my convincing health anxiety from telling me that I’m having a heart attack or something

LCHF 4 yrs
LCHF. Well that was pre April 2019. CABGx4. What now ? What does the research say about LCHF and risk of further occlusion or Afib or heart attack after and attack and CABG ? At least one definitive source from the Keto/LCHF world says my questions outpace the science. If you know anything do please

Heart disease or anxiety? ;-;
Since I constantly worry about the severe physical symptoms I get, I googled some and google came up with a heart disease called postural tachycardia syndrome, and that it can be misdiagnosed as anxiety! D: I have almost every symptom it listed, and now my fears of having a disease and doubt that it’

Help just need to feel normal
After heart attack have tried 3 different beta blockers, Bisoprolol atenonolol and nebivinol. Feeling awful, my GP has said stop taking tablets and has given me Adizem. Read reviews doesn't sound good. Does anyone take them, they aren't meant for heart attack prevention. Think this is my last chance

Before Cardiac Arrest
Do people ever have pre warning signs before cardiac arrest? Like in the weeks before? I questioned my doctor about this as I have been having chest pains and feeling weak with aches on my legs and arms. Breathing is fine etc tho. However he said as my ECG has been fine then I shouldn’t worry about

Nebivolol after Heart Attack
Hi, I am a 71 year old lady, had a heart attack in January have been on Bisoprolol and Atenonolol now have just taken my first Nebivolol, my GP was reluctant to prescribe it as she said it isn't really for the heart. Has anyone taken it after a heart attack and if so how did you get on. Thank you.
