So I just had a panic attack and felt very hard skipped beats when I used to just get a fast heart rate .Anyone else get this during an attack?

Panic attack
I usually get the sensation you're describing at the beginning of an episode - it really can set me off. Now when it happens I start breathing deeply and slowly into the feeling immediately - this usually works to calm the sensation in my chest. Sorry you're experiencing it, but it is common. If there's any actual pain involved you should get it checked.
Yes I've been checked already it's just such a horrible sensation. I've just started on zoloft so hoping it helps
Agreed with Jay...just my opinion...but I think your heart is receiving all the adrenaline and other hormones it secretes to get the heart primed for fight or flight. There are a lot of good books that describe what each does...and it really makes sense when you read how much stimulation the heart gets during anxious times. Norepinephrine is another that gets the pulse going on top of adrenaline. Personally, I know that thump as it's my own body's trigger that says..."Here we go for the panic attack ride." I hate it, but it's normal if your doc has said your heart is fine. Believe that but have your phone nearby (just to be safe...help is always a simple call away) and try some exercises to calm your body (deep breathing, meditation, mindfulness). If you have medication for quick response, you might see if it helps...I take a beta blocker that has reduced my pulse from spiking...and merely for that since my doc noticed I kept complaining about my heart as an anxiety issue. I hope you're able to get some relief and that this feeling run its course. Take care!
Yes that's what It is I'm sure as only happens when anxious really .Thankyou
