Hi... My son got kasai at 55 days last year. His bilirubin went down after 3 months but still all blood count like direct Bilirubin, SGOT, SGPT, GGT, ALP are not in normal range after 1 year. His stool colour is more or less like mud colour & sometimes light yellow or light green. Doctor says to wait

World’s first: Drug guides stem cells to desired location, improving their ability to heal.
The discovery, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), could improve current stem cell therapies designed to treat neurological disorders such as spinal cord injury, stroke, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (
ALS
) and other neurodegenerative disorders; and expand their use

PSA woes paired with anemia and high alk phos
At the Mayo Clinic today getting labs and scans. My PSA has jumped from 300 to 815 in 2 months and for the first time in my 3.5 years of battling this disease my alkaline phosphatase is elevated and I’m mildly anemic. Heading in the wrong direction for sure. Will see what bone scan and CT’s show but

just when you think one thing...everything changes.
I talked to our primary care doctor about it...who did a bunch of blood tests....and then said he thought it was
ALS
(SCREAM). He referred us to an
ALS
specialist who now thinks it's LBD (Lewy body Disease)...going in for more tests this month.

Plant based ALA [alpha-lipoic acid] can weaken COVID-19 infection and maybe even prevent it.
In one study, administering lipoic acid improved survival in a mouse model of

Conventional medicine has fared poorly in the treatment of neurodegenerative illness.

Diagnostics
Such as
ALS
, Cancer, Parkinson’s, MS etc. I would love for it not to be MSA; but, if it is I would rather know. What testing ultimately allowed for diagnosis for you all?

Finally made it back.
My husband lost his battle with
ALS
in April. I'm so happy he's at peace now. Most of his estate matters are taken care of. Has anyone else found the probate system to be just awful? I'm settling into a new normal with our kitties and the grandbaby visits.
