So difficult to pin it down
I have just completed seven weeks on Sertraline (Anti Depression meds) and after a rocky couple of weeks I gradually felt better. I’d would now say that mentally I’m back to my old self which is great. I decided that it was a good time to try to improve my acid reflux using lanzoprazole which I had

Just having a bad day
So I posted yesterday about starting my 100mcg levo. Excuse my ramble, I just feel really alone and sad. Life is barely worth living right now and it all feels a bit insurmountable. I'm sure there's elements of post viral fatigue, adrenal fatigue, perimenopause, thyroid stuff all at play...it feels very

Hi I’m new, been following the treads of other people’s issues for some time and realise I too need help to as the Gps don’t give much help or advise. Makes me feel like I’m wasting their time . Still that aside I have just read a thread about HRT and Levothyroxine. I’ve been on Kevo thyroxine for

Have taken the plunge full Thyroid test!
Hi After reading many posts on here regarding Thyroid testing I have just received a full Thyroid Function test from Blue Horizon. My Thyroid has not been medicated correctly since I started taking 100mg Levothyroxine 4 yrs ago. Everytime I have a test the parameters seem to change from one test to

Getting the NDT dosage right
Hello again friends, I'm writing again in the hope that your collective expertise will come up with a solution for me. I switched from Levothyroxine to NDT (NP Thyroid) some time back, and I've been testing every 12 weeks and tweaking the dose trying to get it right. The latest results, which arrived

Jaw/Tooth ache with Liothyronine
In previous posts I've mentioned my poor conversion of T4 to T3 following thyroidectomy over 2 years ago. As a consequence in January I went to a private endo and got a script for 90 tablets of Thybon Henning T3 20mcg which I got from Roseway Labs. I started taking these which I split 10mcg am and 10mcg

TSH Supressed, T3 2.7, T4 12 & Antibodies 38
I've had problem with my thyroid for years but it's still so confusing! My doctor wants to reduce my Levo as thinks I'm over but I still have all the symptoms of under. She's also very confused that my TSH is supressed but my T3/T4 are under or borderline. I take 50mcg of Levo and 60mcg of Thyroid

Levo/lio?
Hello! Question: If you decrease your dose of liothyronine and increase levothyroxine will you have hypo symptoms while you wait for Levo to kick in? Such as fluid retention and brain fog.

The relationship between Tsh and T4
I hope this isn't annoying as I am still trying to learn this and understand better. I understand that for 90% of people with hypothyroidism TSH is a good indicator to use for fine tuning their medication dosage. But then there are the other 10% who can have various other issues getting in the way

Hi everyone, just a bit of background info: These are my NHS test results from Nov 2023: t4 13.8 (7-17) tsh 0.10 (0.20 - 4.50) although the TSH came back slightly under range at that time, thankfully the GP said “no action” so I have carried on with 75mcg (have been having my usual brands - no

N.I.C.E to stop the use of Lyiothronine (T3 ) prescribing
I have just heard from my local Pharmacist that she is finding it very difficult to source my T3 as the National Institute for Clinical Excellence is shortly to implement a ban on the use of T3 as they state that.... "Levothyroxine is a safe and acceptable form of therapy for those requiring replacement

Finally! 12 months to get to 100mcg
Just a little celebration really, I feel quite emotional sitting here with my Levo. 12 months ago I was diagnosed subclinical and thanks to this forum I've kept going even. Without you lot, I'd probably still be stuck on 25! Just keeping my fingers crossed that this dose increase finally helps me to
