Thyroid tests
I have Graves disease since 2007 and had thyroidectomy in 2019. I have felt fine for the last 4 years on levothyroxine (75mcg Monday to Saturday, 50mcg on Sundays). I've recently developed digestive issues with some indigestion and morning diarrhea or loose stool at best. Had FIT test which was negative

Moving and liothyrinine
Live in Dorset and been prescribed liothyrinine since 2012 through endocrinologist. I am moving to Brighton at end of month and petrified it won't be prescribed. I moved there before and wouldn't prescribe and then returned to Dorset. I have seen endocrinologists once a year here. Does anyone know

How to prepare for my thyroid test?
Hi all, I’m on the following routine and wondered what I should do with my thyroid medication the day before the test: First dose: 3am - 125mcg Levo, 5mcg - T3 Second dose: 11am - 2.5mcg T3 I will do the test around 8am ensuring I’ve only had water. So should I NOT take the 11am T3 dose the day

Weight gain on Levo
I never used to have issues with my weight and happily stayed around 63kg until my symptoms kicked off and I got up to 96kg! I’ve kept a close eye on my weight since starting 50mcg Levo in Feb 2022 and can see that I gained another 4kg in weight which stayed the same even when increasing to 75mcg.

New blood test results, low vitamins, advice please
i test every 6 months. I started taking Armour 1/4 grain in May because my consultant (listed in Thyroid UK directory) thought my FT3 was low in range. I had to change to Thyreogland (from a pharmacy in Munich) because i can’t get Armour delivered to France post-Brexit. I take Thyreogland twice a day

Anti-histamines
Hello everyone, just a quick question. I have severe reactions to insect bites to such an extent that I need to cover myself in jungle formula extra strength and have an emergency supply of antibiotics at home. The GP has also prescribed Fexofenadine 180mg to take each day. I know we need to take supplements

Accidental double dose Levo
Hi all, looking for some advice after taking too much Levothyroxine today, mainly how to get back to usual dosing again? I’m supposed to take 75mcg Levo in the morning and 5 mcg T3 morning and evening. Popped upstairs to take my 5pm dose of T3 today and realised afterwards, to my horror, I’d just absent-mindedly

Have I cracked it?
I'm not showing off here, there are a few of us members scratching their heads after having symptoms and signs of over replacement after careful titration and focus on gut health, adrenals, sex hormones etc, just sharing so we can all compare notes. Being over range came as a complete surprise and out

Hashimoto to Graves
Hi All, I have been lurking as a member for >8years following a diagnosis of Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I have been managed with varying doses of levothyroxine, follow a gluten-free diet and supplement with B12, Fe and Vit D oral sprays. Having gained weight during Covid, I decided to make a conscious

Sudden low TSh
Hello. I wonder if someone can help me please? I’ve asked my gp but they said they aren’t sure, which hasn’t helped! I’ve had Hashimoto’s disease for around 15 years. I’ve always had very similar blood test results and always been on 125 levothyroxine. Suddenly this time my tsh is really low.

Is it the Medication or am I Losing it?
Do you do daft things? This morning I picked up my toothbrush and instead of putting toothpaste on it picked up a tube of face wash cream and spread that on my toothbrush, as soon as the brush went in my mouth I knew what I'd done. Last week I took a carton of orange juice out of the fridge and poured

Hi there! I’ve been told I have a low TSH . This is so disheartening after 8 years of being told it’s under active form Googling it seems now its now overactive? Is that possible? I’ve been on 125 m levothyroxine for almost 3 years now without problems, but now I’m experiencing weight gain, low mood

Rawr!
I don't know what else to say, laughing. Insert big fat sigh as well. I have zero understanding why my labs continue to be so off. The endocrinologist is going to accuse me of non-compliance yet again (I will go NOPE, NOPE & NOPE.) I take those little buggers in the middle of the night like a champ.

Do Thyroid meds have to be taken in the morning
I'm 55, lifetime sub-clinical hypo, on meds since age 10. Currently on 150mcg Levo and 10mcg Lio. Stable and bloods optimal. There is always inconsistent advice about when to take meds, GP puts on prescription that it should be taken at least one hour before any food or drink in the morning,

Bad Reaction to TEVA
I just had a bad reaction to TEVA Levo 50mg due to the Acacia Powder filler, GP changed prescription to Accord, but I also take Liothyronine (Morningside), I don't believe there is a brand of Lio (tablets) in the UK that doesn't contain Acacia, but that there is an oral solution. Does anyone have experience
