Crumbling Almus (Accord) 100 microgram tablets

My current batch of Almus (Accord) 100 microgram Levothyroxine tablets are extremely crumbly. Finding it difficult to get even one out without it breaking up. For this reason, I have just filed a Yellow Card report - see below. Much of my report has been pasted below.

ALMUS Levothyroxine

Hi there, I need to increase my medication by 25mg having been taking 50mg of Almus Levothyroxine for a while. The pharmacist provided me with the additional medication but the 25mg was TEVA brand which made me quite unwell with headaches and sickness.

TEVA added ingredient is, MANNITOL= Edema, headaches, palpitations, chest pain, sleep deprivation.

YES, I am usually given Northstar or Almus Levothyroxine but I was recently sent TEVA which I have never taken before. I decided to check the list of ingredients and one ingredient stood out which was not in the other 2 brands....MANNITOL!

Worse after increase in Levo

Hi everyone. My Endo tested my T3 which was low 3.9 (3.5-6.6) and agreed to an increase of 25 mg of Levo. I feel worse, still exhausted and cold with a basal temp of 34 degrees. Thigh muscles are very weak. All vitamins and minerals are the bottoms of the range. She argues with me, telling me this isn

Lactose in Levothyroxine

I am currently trying to work through some ideas regarding lactose and levothyroxine. As I see it, many people who have never in their lives had any problem with lactose seem unable to tolerate lactose in levothyroxine tablets. This is wholly my speculation and could be completely wrong-headed. But I

Hi everyone, I started tiromel T3 6 weeks ago. I've had some major improvements, the most notable being my muscle and joints pains have completely gone, which is a relief. Still feeling pretty tired though, some days are better than others. Im taking 75mcg Levo a day and 12.5 tiromel split into 2 doses

Levothyroxine not working/next steps

Hello, my GP put me on 25mc of Levothroxine 3 months ago. I was getting T3 privately before then but the clinic I was with suggested I go to GP to get Levothyroxine as the T3 had lowered my TSH so much. However, I have felt progressively more ill on Levothyroxine and don't think it is helping - previous

Repeat blood tests when starting on thyroid medication?

How often should the TSH blood test be carried out when starting out on Levothyroxine? I've been on the starting dose of 50ug for about two weeks, so was trying to push for a repeat blood test at the very start of April - that makes it six weeks which is what the websites you guys have referred to previously
