Also was told to take montelucast an fexofendine as I do suffer hayfever and allergies etc I'll be honest I'm not very good at remembering the montelucast, does anyone take this and does it actually help? I am a smoker

Graves Disease
Hi, I have type 2 diabetes, I was over-prescribed metformin which had its horrors. When I came off it I was quickly diagnosed with thyroxicosis and hypercalcemia. Saw the endocrinologist yesterday. |He sat there and said do you know what you have wrong with you, then he told me I had Graves disease

Hay Fever
Good Morning all you warriors. I have developed mild hay fever at the ripe old age of 69 (clearly I don’t have enough going on!!). I bought some otc anti-histamine and have taken them for the last 3 days but I’ve felt really awful (pain mostly & worse in the evening). I’m giving them a miss today

Quit smoking 5 fags a day for 14 years and asthma has kicked off..
Hi peeps,I'm new to this forum 👋. Never really struggled with asthma since I was a teenager 20 years ago. At the age of 21, I started smoking roll ups. Never had asthmatic cough during the 14 years of smoking. Reason I gave up was because I took up vaping & preferred the taste of that to fags. But then

Question for those with both asthma and nasal polyps
Hello, I just wanted to ask those with CRSwPolyps (rhinitis and polyps) and asthma, which developed first ie asthma or rhinitis/polyps and by how many years. Reason I ask - apparantly up to 70% of people with rhinitis and polyps develop asthma. I have had rhinitis with polyps and I am told that

Steroid Inhalers and Thyroid levels
Consultant suspects it is non
allergic
late onset
asthma
. I have been using Fostair 200/6 for about 3 weeks which thankfully has improved symptoms. However a recent thyroid blood test gave a very high reading for T4 levels. Do steroid inhalers affect your thyroid levels?

Pulmonary Rehabilitation Course
I got asked to come in to see my gp asthma nurse. On the asthma nurses door she had a large poster advertising my local hospitals pulmonary rehabilitation course, and the poster suggested that I ask my local gp practice to refer me. I asked the nurse if she could refer me, she said that only a consultant

Perennial Rhinitis
Morning everyone I suffer throughout the year with allergies/sinus problems but stopped taking anything to prevent it when I was initially diagnosed with AF. Does anyone know of any hay fever meds that are ok to take and hopefully won’t trigger AF? Many thanks

Anyone else suffer with daily chronic phlegm ?
I have had to see the Dr this week who thinks I have
allergic
asthma
and prescribed me with an Easyinhaler to take with a review in one month. Unsure what I would be
allergic
to? I did suffer with
asthma
in childhood and have since been in remission in adult life.

Asthma with fixed airways?
Hello! I'm new to this forum. Over the years, I've had a diagnosis of Asthma, followed a few years later by COPD, followed after that by Bronchiectasis. Last summer, I went to the surgery for my COPD review and the nurse said, 'I don't know why you're here. You don't have COPD.' I argued, of course

Wool Blend Jumpers
This is a new one, my
asthma
seems to
allergic
to my jumper. I have lots of other wool jumpers, so it is not the wool per se. This is a new one on me, any ideas.

Hay fever season 🌸🌻
Have you noticed that your hay fever affects your breathing? For many people with lung conditions, hay fever (an allergic reaction to pollen) can affect their breathing and make lung symptoms worse. Pollen count is high at the moment so it’s important to get on top of your symptoms before they get

inflammation in eyes
I have an inflammatory eye condition either episcleritis or anterior uveitis. I’ve been on steroid drops for this which have given me cataract. On top of this inhave 2 stoma bags for a perforated bowel ( which triggered the eye inflammation). It’s been a horrendous time and I’ve become very down.

Good evening. I have three children, the oldest is 12 and was diagnosed with asthma shortly after he turned 5, for the most part, his asthma is well-managed and rarely causes him problems. My story
Hi, it all started by going into hospital for day surgery for Hemorrhoids. Within 36 hours my wife had taken me back to A & E with a high heart rate and low blood pressure. I was also in a lot of pain, which I put down to the surgery for Hemorrhoids. I was soon in majors and within a few hours I was
