Hashimoto’s Dr’s Reply - help needed please
Bloods above - is anyone able to help me with a response to this letter please? I have asked for my levo to be put back up to 150 and they have refused - I have previously posted that I regularly don’t get meds I can take, brands are changed regularly - they often give me meds I have reactions to so

Sore stomach on apixaban
I’ve been on apixaban for just over 2 months and have 3 weeks to go, then 4 weeks off before a d dimer blood test. I’ve had awful stomach cramps for a couple of weeks, blood in stools and leaking watery blood like I’m wetting myself (lovely picture!). The doctor is sending me for the fast track bladder

Wow the GP experience is real…
I was recently privately diagnosed with autoimmune Hashimoto’s by a (NHS) endocrinologist with autoimmune Hashimoto’s. I was diagnosed via bloods and a scan, and there is a significant family history of Hashimoto’s. There was also a record of increasing TSH etc due to employer health checks. I think

Sensitive post: BFP after 7th transfer but Prednisolone immediately stopped
Hi, yesterday I had the news I have been waiting for, finally a BFP after my 7th transfer (my first BFP in almost 3 years which ended in miscarriage). Whilst I am over the moon, I am also filled with fear. I have no more BETA tests booked in so next step is viability scan in 3 weeks. This morning I

Low Ferritin and raised Iron
I have always struggled to get my ferritin levels up. I’m into nutrition so eat the right stuff, including meat daily and have eaten liver pate until I’m sick of the sight of it! Ferritin was 30’s-40’s (30-200) and I thought I’d try a 14 mg iron supplement and it has raised to a record high of 57!

Reducing T3 - please help me understand
Hi all, I am baffled with my situation. I would be so grateful for any ideas. First, after being extremely sick for over 5 years I was finally diagnosed with mold exposure early in 2023 and now being treated by a top specialist at Cleveland Clinic in the US. Making progress. This doc warned me

anyone have achy legs
I’m learning so much from reading everyone’s posts. Unfortunately I am still trying to figure out what is going on with my legs. I know I have a component of RLS as my legs feel like a “current” is running through them when I am sitting for long periods, watching Tv in evenings and laying in bed.

Hi you lovely lot I don’t post much but really appreciate the knowledge and expertise shown on this site. I read all posts and research as much as I possibly can to manage my condition. So, I’m currently on 100mcg levo prescribed by GP somewhat reluctantly. I was taking 125mcg for a while as I thought

Advice on blood test results
10 years after full thyroidectomy (goitre with 4 nodules) and years of somewhat very unstable hormone replacement levels (on levothyroxine only), here are my most recent blood tests done early morning without taking Levothyroxine: 0.48TSH and Free T4: 12.4 I had asked a full panel but got this only

What is my status
Please could someone clarify this for me as had an overactive thyroid which was knocked out with RAI. I am Thyroxine which, thank goodness, has stabilised me so that I am Euthyridic (sp) however there are the occasional flareups of eye problems associated with Throid Eye Disease. What I am really confused

Low B12 and ferritin questions
Over the past year I have had frequent respiratory infections and when not ill, I am always exhausted. I often need to stay in bed on my days off recovering. Alongside the exhaustion and frequent infections I have dealt with nausea and gastric problems which I always thought were due to IBS. I faint

Thyroid feels sore but I am on my normal amount despite my last TSH being 0.02.
Recently my blood test showed TSH 0.02 with normal T4 and T3. The doctor tried to drop my medication but I stood my ground. However I have developed sore thyroid over the last few days. Could it be too much levothyroxine as the doctor said.

Antibiotics and exhaustion
Could anyone confirm if antibiotics affect thyroid function? I take thyroxine at present and recently completed a two week course (two weeks ago on Tuesday). I took the first dose in the morning, an hour away from thyroxine as I couldn’t wait the two hours required due to timings through the day for
