Doubts Regarding Cataract Surgery
I have a cataract and need surgery. Though before going to a clinic I need someone to help me with the doubts I am having in my mind. Heard it may cause retinal detachment and dry eye in the patients. Also, the cloudy lens is broken into pieces with the help of an ultrasound device. To me, it seems like

Weak muscle tone
Hello, My husband seems to have weak muscle tone. He cannot bend his knees as he used to and his hands don't seems to have the grip they used to have. He is on beta blockers and ace inhibitors for heart failure, has anyone else experience this ? could it be related to the drugs?

The importance of eating
Hello all. I was hoping you could comment and talk about how important an eating schedule is for people with cirrhosis. My fiancé doesn’t think it’s important, no matter what I say. I want him to understand the importance of this as he had muscle wasting when he was diagnosed in December. He has an appetite

Hello! I'm new here, but this 'Post' page does not work with my computer 'low vision' mode. Why not? I can't really see what I'm doing, so hope not too many mistakes! I have macular atrophy in my left eye, and degeneration in my right eye. I've had cataracts removed from both eyes (over a 7 year period

Liver hemangioma
Good afternoon I'm new here. I have just been diagnosed with 2 liver hemangiomas. One is only2 cm the other is 6 cm. I've had symptoms from them. I have my appointment with consultant next month. Don't know what to expect. Don't understand all of the results I had doctors print for me. Was wondering

Fatty liver (I'm new here)
Hello All Hope you all are fine and well, as like good members, I also want to discuss about my health Last two weeks I did Ultrasound in which fatty liver becomes minimal to moderate, minimal is about one year ago. My sonologist recommends me to do fibroscan. After that, my fibroscan result is as CAP

Worried
I have been receiving eye injections for brvo with macular edema for about 5 years. Right eye only and various drugs. I am now on eyelea which helps. I have lost central vision in that eye. I have a corrected vision of 20/20 in left eye. This will sound weird- I accidentally noticed when the eye would

Tissue Mitral Valve Replacement 1yr on - and coming OFF meds to use Alternative Integrated Supplements...increase pulse & can't gain weight!
1 - I've been fairly quiet on here, although did contribute a little some months back. However, my resting heart rate (over night, during sleep) has risen from 59-65 to 70-75 over the last month or so. I had an echocardiogram a couple of months back, which showed my ejection fraction lower than before

Celebrating
We are on our way to Devon for a short holiday. Thank you to everyone who responded, made my day. Also heard this week that I do not have wet AMD, the laser treatment was because the lens that was inserted at cataract surgery had clouded. The laser has worked a treat and I can now see properly. TWO bits

Goodbye "snoutie"
It is a shame that within our society, there are those who sadly carry a personal bitterness towards others. I, like so many others joined this site so I could hopefully reach out and offer help, support and advice to others by calling upon my own personal experience, medical knowledge, and life age

Can Migraines interfere with eyes focusing properly
Hi I have just joined this group to ask whether its possible that migraines can cause eye sight issues where the focus comes and goes, it moves around when looking at the screen. When i look it up online all I seem to see is auras being mentioned. I found out that i had a lazy eye, my brain had stopped

Cataract surgery complication
Anyone else had issues with cataract surgery after taking pred for PMR and GCA? Now have a new thing called Blepharitis in one eye after cataract removed and new lens and stent put in (to relieve the pressure from glaucoma). This is a nasty nasty little complication often seen in people with compromised

Liver Disease - Stem Cell Research
I know some of you are interested in the advances in research of Liver disease. It was reported yesterday that the "Promethera’s" liver failure stem cell therapy clears first hurdle. It now begins it's second, much larger phase. This should come as interest to those who suffer with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis

Thanks for your response. I have stopped now. I dont have a problem stopping even though I have drank for all those years. As I said diagnosed with fatty liver as they think due to being overweight but I know different. I am going to see my own Doctor this week to apologise for not telling him the truth
