Not sure this is the right place but hoping someone can help...
I am scheduled to have a uterine biopsy in two weeks and I am scared to death , can’t sleep or eat as I have read so many horror stories about this procedure ( yes I am one of those bad people that googles everything) my uterine lining is thicker than my gumbo would like and awhile back I had a period

Huge meltdown yesterday !! 😭
Hi everyone ! I had a big meltdown at my support group yesterday. I had so much build up anxiety that I just cried like a baby . On Tuesday , I was opening my car door and I ended up hitting my forehead ! My health anxiety came back 100% after that . I had a small bump and called my sister who is

Temporal Arteritis Or Sinusitis? CT scan and response to Pred.
Hi all, I’m new here. I am a 35 year old female and I’m struggling with something - not sure what move to make next and hoping someone can have some insight for me. On April 22, I got a headache. I have suffered random headaches since childhood, which evened out to monthly headaches around my cycle-

ICE OR HEAT OR ?
I have having my first BMB tomorrow in preparation for clinical trial. I will have some sedation during the procedure. Afterwards, what have you found most useful for the soreness? Ice pack, heating pad, Advil or something else? Thank you.

Excema on my eyes and mouth
Breo and

helped, but the Excema I had as a child for few years behind the knees and inside my arms came back at age 62. It’s come back on my eyes and all around my mouth, it’s debilitating. I am a working actress and can no longer accept auditions for fear I can’t commit to dates.

PMR and starting Pred
So My GP thinks I have pmr and so do I. I am not taking prednisone until the end of the month as we are trying CBD oil first (have since read it doesn’t really help for pmr). So far CBD hasn’t touched my pain. My question is this. Earlier in the week I was so sore. Needed to go clothes shopping and I

MS hug Fairey visited me, I think.
I awoke to the feeling of intense pain in the center of my chest, as if a hand had reached in and was squeezing my ribs together. It felt like intense acid reflux, which I do not have. I took tums and Advil. It's going away now but wondering from others who have had this fun before, what to expect

Never ending insomnia please help!
I have been struggling with falling asleep, staying asleep, and overall quality of sleep for years. I can’t seem to find a medication or supplement that works well for me. I have tried melatonin (nightmares), valerian root (too many giant bad smelling capsules to take in order for it to work), magnesium

Pred, Ibuprofen, Tylenol (Paracetemol)
A lot of people have said in the forum that ibuprofen "doesn't do anything" for PMR, but I use it to supplement my pred. I've been up to 15mg for a month (my doc only ever had me at 10mg, so that was a mistake for sure), and after 18 months of dealing with the PMR, it's abated pretty well, but I still

Headache medicine
Guys, what can I take for headaches that will mix with the 25mg of Sertraline? All the websites say not to mix with advil or aleve. I’m dying over here! 😬

About 2.5 to 3 years ago I had a racing heart while driving. Went to the ER and they said it was Afib. Stayed in the hospital 1 day while they waited for it to return to normal and they injected blood thinners into my get. Got out and was prescribed warfarin and atenolol. My heart has never done this

RP update
Writing for my hospital bed, had robotic RP + ePLND at 8:00am this morning. About four hours in OR and two hours in the awakening room, a little confused but no pain. A lot of wire and tubes though. No CO2 pain, i've been told to drink about a pint of juice the night before. Dr said surgery went

Getting off Prednisone
I had PMR almost 2 years ago and was given Prednisone was amazing a life saver at the time. Given 20 mgs originally and went to 15 then 10 then finally 5 mgs. Cannot say was completely out of pain or stiffness but it was a doable. Then my doctor told me my numbers were good did not have PMR any more

Excessive sex drive as a result of thyroid treatment
Hi, I am new on this site. I am a sixty-seven year old. I have had no sex drive for the last few years. About 3 weeks ago, I started taking Synthroid for an under-active thyroid. It was amazing that after a couple of weeks I had more energy than I had in years. Then I noticed, to my delight, that my

Pain
Hi Friends-I’m having a bad morning so far with inflamed nerve pain. I have daily nerve pain anyway from MS, but this is worse. It may be due to increasing my new oral MS Tx (Tecfidera) to maintenance dose just one week ago. My new Tx is working very well for me, but had similar pain on 3rd day of maintenance
