Statin Use Is Associated with Better Prognosis of Patients with Prostate Cancer after Definite Therapies:
For patients who received either
ADT
or RP, statin use could decrease the PCSM. As for those who accepted either
ADT
or RT, statin use could decrease ACM. However, for patients accepting
ADT
, statin use may not always be beneficial for them."

My story won't apply to everyone, of course, but you may find a nugget worth considering. I've had mild RLS intermittently for forty years until it recently worsened. I'd always managed it with weighted heat, L-Tryptophan, magnesium glycinate, L-Theanine, and if necessary, a little pacing. At age 36,

Can NDT help with low calcium levels?
Since my total thyroidectomy in April I have been on put on 125 mcg of Levothyroxine and am tolerating it quite well ( no gastro problems like with most tablets and energy levels ok ) except for extreme muscle stiffness and joint pain. Calcium levels tend to be fluctuating between ‘ normal’ and low.

ECE and CRIBRIFORM FOUND IN PATH REVIEW OF MSK BIOPSY BY UCSF
She highly suggested IMRT and 4 months of
. (I can't have
adt
due to cardiac conditions) She wanted me to personally confirm with the MSK Pathologist that there was no ECE. Please give me your thoughts.
.(The ECE was just a possibility from path report not from an MRI.)

How to obtain NDT (e.g., Armour/ERFA Thyroid)?
Hi, I have autoimmune hypothyroidism and I'm currently taking levothyroxine (25mg), but I've read that some people prefer taking NDT. I'm thinking of getting a prescription for NDT from a private UK doctor, but I was also wondering if I could get NDT from a reputable online source without a prescription

Questions regarding mental and emotional affects from having endometriosis, hormone spiral and possible removal, surgery.
Hello everyone! I am from Norway, and I am so glad that I found this place to read and Connect with all of you who share this condition of endometriosis. In my country there is not so much talk about this yet, we are much fewer people as well, so I find a lot of support reading the stories and experiences

Looking for City of Hope prostate oncologist
I completed
ADT
, 18 months, and brachy and SBRT. I came off
ADT
in Jan. 2021. My psa rose to about 0.6 and held steady for four months. In the last three months it has gone from 0.577 to 1.02. My Sept. 2022 PSMA scan at UCLA was still equivocal, faint to low uptake.

Dr Antony Toft Thyroid specialist re treating some patients with combi of T3 to their Levo can somebody send me the link please
Hi All, I have a GP call today on the back of a pretty scathing consultant F/u letter, with the aim to get me off NDT (agreed by previous Consultant) to raise my TSH by giving me a lower dose of Levo. An all too familiar story I know. That said this is a new GP who possibly knows very little about DIO2

BIOCHEMICAL RECURRENCE -NOW WHAT?
Started
ADT
in Jun 19 and continued for 30 months. Had RT (IMAT) in Oct to Dec 2019. PSA came down to 0.04 by Jun 2020. Then from Sep 2021 PSA started increasing slowly. I had one PSMA Pet CT in Aug 2022 at PSA of 0.7. Then PSA kept going up so in Dec 2022 had another PSMA Pet CT at PSA of 1.3.

Is it too late for Triplet Therapy? (4 months on Elligard already.).
Some other posts here sounded like Triplet needed to start within 2 months of
ADT
. Is that really an issue? Obviously Dorff will know best, but wondering what to expect, so I don’t get surprised.

When should you start taking Bisphosphonates, or bone strengthening medications.
I have been on continuous
ADT
since 2017 plus chemo and now Abiraterone with prednisone. The last year I have increased back and rib pain. The pain follows after I lift any heavy objects and usually at night when lying in bed. I defiantly have lost a lot of strength as well.
