Hormone therapy for Endometriosis

Hello,

I hope you're all doing ok. I was wondering if anyone has any advice, tips or experience in hormone therapy for endometriosis.

Long story short I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis 5 years ago, I had a lap in Dec 2018 to remove endometrioma and check my tubes. In Nov 2019 I had a bowel resection and removal of endo. I then did 2 years of IVF with 3 failed rounds. End of last year I started experiencing pain and pulling again, with painful periods. I went for a scan and it showed an endometrioma again. I have since had an MRI and it has shown I have DIE (deep infiltrating endometriosis) again, involving outer layers of bladder, uterus and ovaries are stuck to my uterus & my uterus is stuck to my bowel.

I am booked in for another surgery hopefully towards the end of the year but I am really struggling. with pain, discomfort and bloating. I basically have 1 week a month where I feel ok and the rest where I feel swollen, bloated and uncomfortable. I eat well and exercise, I also have therapy as I'm training to be a counsellor. I'm wondering about hormone therapy ( a bit like HRT) but to help manage endo. Not the coil (I don't get on very well with progesterone I suffer with low moods and to be honest I'd rather put up with the pain and discomfort than low moods).

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of using hormone therapy so getting hormone levels checked and then being given a tailor made set or hormones to help manage endo? I know this is something that I would need to fund personally but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience or. recommendations?

Sorry for the long message and thank you for reading and for any help / advice.
