Week 4, 8km run felt tough!
There was a lot more uphill than I remembered from last week, think I must have been running on adrenaline last week! Today my legs felt heavy and I just wasn't in the "zone". Still, it's done. ☺ Happy running all!
W7, R2: Take that, Black dog!
used to do that because it gave me an extra kick, but now I've come across advice from an expert saying that if you are on a slow and steady run, you should end it slow and steadily, because your muscles are tired and because you wouldn't want to destroy the relaxed feeling you got by an extra kick of adrenaline
Cold for a whole day after running
Some suggest that this is caused by the body trying to come down from an adrenaline rush, some suggest iron deficiency, low blood sugar levels, etc. and prescribe eating a small amount of carb & protein post-run, which I might try on my long weekend runs. Anyone else have other solutions?
