5K PB...if I can, you can.
Hi everyone, It's been a stressful few days here in this Cornish household and I needed to burn off some fight or flight
adrenaline
...I went out tonight just needing to run/burn/get it out of my system. So, here's the thing, when you're wound up, you should just aim for that PB time!

Amazing what adrenalin does
Last Friday I was doing my week 4 run 3 run. Got a call from the wife at the furthest point of the route from my car.She had been stung by a hornet and has reacted badly in the past to the little blighter's. End up doing a 12 minute mercy dash back to the car without stopping! Wife is OK now and I'm

If I had started C25k in warm weather like this . . .
The
adrenaline
nearly made me sick! But I made myself calm down and carry on and ran back (past the flippin car again!), pausing only cos my path was blocked by the lonely dog walking 76 year old lady, bless her (I was very grateful for an excuse to take a breather by then!).

Ooh, my first post as a graduate!
Ok so I did it 45 seconds slower than my graduation run, but I'm not sure I had the same level of
adrenaline
this time. I am most pleased at the fact my splits were reducing and the fact I was able, for the first time, to finish with a proper sprint.

It got dark quickly I got spooked so wasn't going to stop running was I!
Hehe one way to make me run. It was so hot I didn't go until after 9 pm. I went a route I use regularly and it is mostly open paths but there is a part that is quite wooded. Just as I got to the wooded part a man came round the corner and he was in dark clothing and made me jump, I had just started

Down but not out!
After a few minutes, my
adrenaline
kicked in and I began to feel my old running vibe coming back. It was slow bu I'm happy to say I managed to do two sessions of 10 minutes. I'm down but not out............. well not yet anyway!

Week One - runs 1 & 2
My foot is finally on the mend and my initial thought was 'I'm never going to run 10k, so I'll give up', but then I decided to kick my train of thought into a postive one and thought that at least if I can run 5k by 24th June, I can either walk the rest or hope

Saltash Half Marathon - tick!!
Even walking suddenly becomes impossible (who knew that
adrenaline
was such a great painkiller?) and Dave has to let me lean on him as I limp painfully over to say hello to some people I know and receive their congratulations.

My lupus journey
Hi All This is my first blog post. I'm so happy that I found this site!! At last I don't feel alone with all my worries and aches and pains! My journey started way before I was diagnosed 2 years ago. 8 years ago my twin boys started school and I felt a sigh of relief that I would at last have some

Some rest day advice!
So, anyway, after my 20 minute running exertion yesterday evening, I was buzzing to run again - and get that same rush of blood and endorphins and
adrenaline
once more.

Palpitations don't know what to do.
Im newly diagnosed in February, I'm on hydroxychloroquine since February. Not had many problems just some stomached cramps nothing I can't handle. I forgot to take my tablets on Friday and woke up on Saturday feeling rather rubbish, nothing new there I wake up feeling poo most mornings. Usually I feel

Week 8 run 1 in a running stylee
In my warped mind I thought I have 2 more training runs before my race, yes I got the start date wrong and delayed my training so I don't make week 9 by the start, however I reckon the
adrenaline
will get me through the last 2 minutes or so.

How did you come to terms with your illness?
I managed to battle through my show on
adrenaline
and thankfully the joint pain went away. My gp surgery made me wait until January for my results so I assumed they hadn't found anything wrong, but when i went back I was told I had positive ANA and a few other things which point to lupus.

Oops I'm running out of spoons!
Morning, it's been a long night. I've been running on adrenalin this week. Felt wonderful, got lots done and was very motivated. Now comes the pay back. Little sleep last night as my arms were twanging. That's my way of describing what feels like they are guitar strings which have been strummed and won't
