Suspicious..?
I get the 'buzz' and it makes me feel so great to let out all the hurt, anger, frustration through seeing blood escape from my body, it's truly an
addiction
, and I'm hooked.

Are you beating tobacco?
Lots of people on here are fighting against nicotine
addiction
and some have shared their journey. I just wondered how you are all doing? If you are doing well we can congratulate you (again). If you have faltered we can encourage and support you.

My weight struggle
I've started reading a book about overeating and food
addiction
which I'm pretty sure I have. It has very good reviews on amazon by people who also have this problem. It's very easy to get addicted to food usually the sugar causes it. I don't drink or smoke so I'm getting a boost from sugar.

Running/shuffling - Emotional Ups & Downs
Or will there come a point when the
addiction
of running kicks in and I leap out of bed ready to go? I almost feel that after the structure of the three runs per week for 9 weeks I'll loose the impertus to get out there.

I Graduated Yesterday - a bittersweet story with thanks to Sue, Delia, Liz, Colette, Gayle, Steve, Julie and all of you and, LAURA
Hi everyone :-) I started this
addiction
, in the main, because of my parents' dwindling physical health and watching the effect of it on them. I started Week 9 thinking it would be just as straightforward as all the other weeks - hell no!

Some More Tips For Staying 'Smokefree'
Try to think of cravings as a positive thing ie a sign that you are recovering from an
addiction
, that you are not in that trap any more and how you are stronger than the cravings. Sounds odd but I have been thinking this way today and it really helps.

My husband has fibro
Lea now again refuses ever to voluntary see a doctor again, they recently stopped the one medication he was on, sleeping tabs which he took 2 maybe 3 a week because of fears of
addiction
he’s now severely depressed and even suicidal at times and now fears that he will soon be expected to return to work

Live and let live....this may not make me popular but....
Addiction
of any kind is a dreadful burden to carry and can be caused through a genetic predisposition as well as all kinds of trauma. It is not always a choice made through free will.

I am Living (it up) with Parkinson's and Other Things
I went through a Gambler's
Addiction
inpatient rehabilitation program, again courtesy of the VA. I met a lady and moved in with her, found a neurologist who was a magician at modifying my medication dosages. I was able to go back to work in West Africa for several years.
