Vitamin D in winter months
Vitamin D2 is ingested from a healthy balanced diet and can be derived from everyday foods such as: Egg yolks and fatty fish like; trout, mackerel, salmon or tuna, as well as cod liver oil, or fortified milk, juices and cereals. Vitamin D3 however, is most efficiently produced when our skin is exposed

Vitamin K2MK7 and Teriparatide
Hi. I’ve been on Teriparatide for 5 months and I also take Vitamin D3 1000 iu. Would it be ok to add in Vitamin K2MK7 to this mix? If so, which is the best brand and dose to go for? Very many thanks.

Help please; suspected low Vitamin D; advice on supplementation please.
As with all things, having a symptom does not automatically equal one possible conclusion, but many variable options. However, I suspect low vitamin D? These are a few of my current observations; hair loss, severe headaches, worst when laying my head in my soft pillow; TMJ jaw pain ; unable to sleep

Blood-shot eye
Has anyone experienced a sudden bloodshot eye? This happened yesterday with a little discomfort at first. I was driving home after a bowls match where I had bent down to pick up bowls several times. The only change in medication is that I have started taking vitamin K2 100mcg mk7. I also take Adcal

The revolution we are living through, the need for simplicity and a few controversial considerations.
"And those who were seen dancing, were considered mad by those who who could not hear the music." Friedrich Nietzsche 1. Learn about the revolution we are living through, but which will not reach the sick for a long time if we don't do something about it. If you are tired of looking for information

Not so subclinical hypothyroidism
As per great advice on here, I'm taking vitamin D3 spray and also did my own results to include T3 and to baseline before I start on any medication. At 8:30am before eating. My TSH did indeed go up to over 10 as was suggested may happen. FT4 similar but I was previously told -ve for antibodies,

Phoned GP surgery to advise that despite emails and telephone calls my repeat prescription is not providing adequate medication to last until the next repeat prescription. So today I phoned and pointed out that I continually need an emergency supply as it runs out due to GP advising me to double up

Vitamin K2 Mk7
Good morning. I have just ordered this as I have learned from this site that I should be taking this with AdCal to help the absorption of the calcium into my bones. The vitamin k is once a day so should i take it with the mid morning AdCal or evening one ? Thanks very much. Currently tapering 4.0/3.5

New Medicines Atorvastatin and Propranaolol Bone Worries
I have had a barrage of blood tests done recently due to Osteoporosis, no blood test was left out, except for Magnesium that I am being tested for in the next lot of blood tests in January. My blood tests show high cholesterol so the doctor prescribed Atorvastatin 20mg. He also prescribed Propranaolol

Effects of Vitamin D3?
I had a second AF / tachy ablation in July 2020. I continued to have ectopics for about 6 months but then I started taking vitamin D3 for other reasons. Within a week or so my ectopics stopped and I’ve been largely free ever since. Anybody else had this experience or is it coincidence or the long term

New results in... any advice welcome
It's been a while since I've posted - 10 months or so... I've been very lazy about meds for months and finally recommitted myself to the process when my hair REALLY started to get thin and I got even heavier. Below are my Oct and December Thriva results. I haven't spoken to a doctor in months about

Newly Diagnosed
I’ve started
Adcal
D3
and I’ve been given Alendronic Acid 70mg. It’s my left hip and lumber spine which is affected, -3•5 in hip, -3•1 in lumber spine. I’ve been told I have a fracture risk of 36%. I’m naturally concerned about the side effects of AA. I also have Asthma and Bronchiectasis.

Possible Borderline Hypothyroidism
Hi, I am new to this forum but after test results reading all I can. After not feeling well for a couple of years after a major op I asked my GP for an iron test. Iron was fine, but she also tested for thyroid which I have never had before. Reading other posts and articles, it looks like I could

Feel sick after taking vitamin D3 plus k2

I already take b12 spray for b12 deficiency, which I'm fine with and my levels are increasing for b12, so I bought betteryou d3+k2 spray, 3000iu. I have been taking

Adcal or not
Sorry I'm unable to cut and paste. A recent letter to a doctor in the newspaper asked about having taken Lansoprazole for a problem can cause bones to thin. Recently diagnosed with advanced Osteoporosis she has been prescribed AA and Adcal. The doctor suggests that calcium carbonate would be better changed

vitiligo around the eyes. 8y old girl
Hi there Very excited to join. My daughter has two skin conditions. She has this little white spot since 2017. It disappeared in 2018 and comes back around this year. The spot now is getting bigger and spreading around her knees feet. Seen by many specialists and they confirm its vitiligo. I disagree

ZOLENDRONIC ACID VERSUS PROLIA?
Hi Everyone 👋 Just looking for a bit of advice. I've had RA for 39 years, and have been on steroids for about 28 years now. I'm 53. As a result, it's affected my bone strength and I've had a number of Osteoporotic fractures. Initially I had Risedronate/Actonell but (like many people) was unable to
