How long do you need to take these pills For? Someone said as long as your on pred and beyond x is this true.

As long as you are taking steroids at least.

I’m still taking them long time after finishing Pred.

Recommended to continue at last DEXA scan, 2 years ago.

I originally took d3 on its own and my doctor said I would be on it for life.

I stopped taking them when I ran into a problem with too much calcium.

I then took Vit D only and still do.

You can ask for a blood test that includes all minerals.

Like jinasc - I took AdCal for some years until it caused bladder problems but now I take care I have plenty of calcium in my diet and also take 4000 IU vit D all year round. I suspect the vit D is as important as the calcium to be honest and something we need to continue for life.
