Effects of Vitamin D3?

I had a second AF / tachy ablation in July 2020. I continued to have ectopics for about 6 months but then I started taking vitamin D3 for other reasons. Within a week or so my ectopics stopped and I’ve been largely free ever since. Anybody else had this experience or is it coincidence or the long term result of the ablation ?

Never say never but as we say in our fact sheet many people are still improving at nine months or a year so it may well be natural healing.

Unfortunately it’s really difficult to prove a positive affect, much easier a negative. My GP is very much for me supplementing so I take about 400iu/day in liquid form with K2 which is required for good absorption.

My neurologist is less keen in supplements as in his experience excess VitD can cause toxicity & kidney stones, which I have had though can’t say it was caused by VitD.

Have you had a VitD blood test? I am tested 3-4 times a year and try to keep my levels at the higher end of normal range. My levels do bounce around quite a bit.

My personal opinion is you need to monitor your levels & if you have been prescribed VitD your GP should offer you this. Otherwise there are plenty of private test kits available. Otherwise it’s guesswork as to whether it is supporting well-being.

Dr John Campell has posted quite a bit of onfo on D3 in regards to Covid and describes it here. I have been taking 4000 units ( not mcg) dose since November ( along with the K2 as advised) with no issues

There is a second more detailed discussion you will be able find.

One point about Dr Campbell's video for those taking Warfarin. Taking the recommended amount of K2 will surely affect Warfarin levels in the blood, so an INR test would be needed.
