Hi I’m new to this forum. My son and his partner have been holidaying in Tenerife. My son who is 32 yrs old suffered a heart attack and had a stent fitted. He’s on medication but not sure what. He’s still on an intensive care ward 12 days later due to concerns about low blood pressure which they seem

Raised alt liver function blood test
Hi has anyone had a raised alt level on liver function blood test? I had a mild HA in October with 1 stent. Have you found it has been to do with the statin? I've never drank or smoked.

Total knee replacement
Hi and good sunny morning to you all. 6 weeks ago I had a total knee replacement should have been a 3 day stay but I was in hospital for 3 weeks. I developed phumonia and a PE. I'm struggling to recover on top of that I've had no RA drugs for about 10 weeks and won't be allowed back on my biologic drug

Hypnosis
Has anyone tried hypnosis? My RL started after a head injury. I think it affected my nervous system and brain, causing my restless leg problems. DR prescribed 1200 mg Gabapentin and 400 mg of Magnesium. I am uncomfortable as my RL occurrences are all over the place. Hence wondering if Hypnosis would

Hi all Well what a week that was had a ERCP on the transplanted liver graft , which I received pre covid thank goodness in March 2019 So had a stent put in on a narrowed bile duct and to say it hurt is an understatement, they sedated me but the pain was almost unbearable to a degree that I nearly had

I’ve been reading the posts about vitamin b12 and restenosis. I’m looking for good recent research but can’t find any. Anyone got a link?
I’m on b12 injections. I’ve been on a PPI long term which can reduce your absorption of b12. I have 1 stent now and so far have continued with the injections. I’ve seen a 2004 report and read it’s controversial. This report didn’t look at b12 supplements alone. Any suggestions about where to get some

Abraxane/Taxol, mixed response and what are they draining?
Hi lovely ladies, I recently posted about cannon balls in my abdomen, it turns out I’ve been growing a cyst which oncologist thinks could be a reaction to chemo, undecided as yet. (Only took 6 weeks to eventually examine me!)) Onc said Cyst needed draining but hospital admission letter for tomorrow

Augmentation & Tramadol? What next
Not sure what to do now. I came off 0.5mg Ropinirole about 4 years ago and found 100mg of Tramadol was sufficient to give me on most nights 8 hours sleep. But I seem now to be developing augmentation. I am writing this after 3 hours sleep! I have stretched my legs but still suffering. I am now wondering

Having a tooth out
I am going to have a tooth extraction the dentist was worried that I am still on blood thinners to help with my stent fitted in April 2021 ( coming off these tablets which I take twice a day end of this month) The tooth is a large tooth at the back as I said the dentist was worried about the bleeding

Vitamin B and stents

Billary stent/Catheter
My father has MBC and has been on Lynparza for 8 months with good results. At monthly check up a week ago, hit liver enzymes and bilirubin went from normal to sky high. Within days he was jaundiced and hospitalized. Found tumer on pancreasus pressing on bile duct. This did not show up on PET scan 2 weeks

My trial with sodium butyrate, a short chain fatty acid (scfa) and sodium propionate, also a SCFA
Trying, at least for one month, to supplement sodium butyrate. I have done some reading and although I don't understand everything, supplementing butyrate could be beneficial for me because of the, in my opinion, still existing dysbiosis, with all it's consequences for my health. I did have the Lactulose

Ropinirole - despair!
Following a diagnosis last year I've been on Ropinirole ever since. Unfortunately, my GP is one who thinks this is the best drug for RLS. I'm on the lowest dose, 0.5mg and the practice pharmacist says we should try to keep it as low as that if possible. However, it's not even touching the sides anymore

I had a Face to Face with my Cardiologist yesterday and it was quite a positive meeting. I have had Bypass surgery in 2015, Heart Attack in 1982 currently I have a 100% blocked Right Coronary Artery and the area of my Heart that it would supply is beyond repair, in his words it's dead !! In 2018 the

Should I feel better by now?
Hi All, I am wondering how people generally feel after a stent procedure. Three weeks on I don't feel as good as I felt before (I didn't have any symptoms particularly) and am getting mild chest pains/tightness and a need to rest if I do anything slightly physical. I am not breathless but every now and
