Hi all, I’m very grateful to have an appointment with the Cardiac Rehab team tomorrow afternoon. I have no idea what to expect, other than knowing I may be asked to ride a bike on an angle of some sort. I spoke to a friend of a friend who has had an appointment like this. She said the staff give you

CDC reconsidering guidelines for opiate use. This affects RLS sufferers.
RLS.org is asking us to send comments to the Center for Disease Control about our use of opioids to treat our symptoms, as the CDC is reconsidering guidelines for their appropriate use and how they can be prescribed. Please don’t think this is only for Americans. ( See below.) My comment stated that

Go for it ! Cabg !
For all those reluctant to have this procedure I would say , go for it ! I had 2 yrs of heart attacks , 5 angios until the last one when the surgeon suggested a bypass would give me a better life than going in and out of hospital getting stents in and them failing . I had my op 11 months ago and would

Rotational Medication Regime
I’m wondering if anyone has tried a rotational medication regime (i.e. Tramadol for 1 week, Requip for 10 days, Gabapentin for 7 days - rinse and repeat) and what thier experiences were like?

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia treatment with B12 injections and oral folate
In the category of "not helpful but interesting", I am sharing this paper decribing a research project which treated patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia with B12 injections and oral folate. One interesting facet is that dose of B12 and folate is based on symptoms as reflected in clinician

RLS codeine
I have never experienced such a dramatic sensation in my body but I do keep RLS at bay with dihydrocodeine before bedtime and one in the night if I start kicking and screaming. The two natural things I find helpful is magnesium and a magnet wrapped in cloth near my legs.

Massive cardiac arrest 24th March
As the title says, CA 24 March, ambulance was already with me, have no memory of events, but told CPR/shocked, taken to hospital, emergency surgery, 3 days ITU. Previous HA 13 years ago, 1 stent. Have had one more stent fitted, and another artery 'optimised' as on a further angiogram they couldn't get

Raised blood pressure
BP had been stable for 18 months after HA. I’m on low dose candesartan 4mg . My blood pressure started rising slowly then I began to feel unwell so doctor had increased candesartan to 8mg and BP has stabilised again. What makes BP increase I have not done anything different? Could it be arteries becoming
