Again woke up at 3am. I can never sleep normally
But i had a nightmare and finally woke up at around 3am with
acid
reflux
again. Wondering if it's stress, ptsd,
acid
reflux
caused by anxiety or
acid
reflux
caused by the water here, the place... For what damn reason i can never sleep a full night?! And why i can't, i just can't move out?

Finally finished prednisolone.
Hi all, after just over 7.5 years I've finally managed to stop pred. It's been a very long and slow reduction with the inevitable hiccups along the way. I ended up on 0.5mg every 2 days and finished last week, with no ill effects that I'm aware of. The last PMR symptoms I had were in 2020. What I'd like

I've not suffered GERD
acid
reflux
since. But she is partially correct - the rib pain is not due to any fracture, could be a pulled muscle or soft tissue, but the stomach spasm just under the lower left ribs is probably the cause of the rib discomfort.

Advice on egg freezing and hysterectomy for severely heavy bleeding
Hi everyone, I'm doing a little bit of research so I can take a huge stack of notes to my next gynaecology appointment, and wondered if anyone was able to share their experiences. I'm looking at potentially freezing some of my eggs, as I have endometriomas. I'm still undecided as to whether I want children

Private Dexa Scan
I have been on 40mg pred for 3 weeks for positive GCA.I have agreed to take weekly alendronic acid as advised by my rheumatologist, and took my first dose yesterday. I asked him about having a dexa scan. He says he will arrange a dexa scan when/if I am off steroids, which he says may be in 1 - 1.5

Alendronic Acid
Hi. I've been taking Alendronic Acid for 5.5 years with no problems. Now I'm told I need a treatment break for 2 years. Why would this be? I'm on Letrozole since March 2018 and have been having bone scans every 2 years since 2020.

Barrett's is a condition caused by
acid
reflux
(GERD) that changes the tissue that lines the Esophagus. It's considered a pre-cancerous condition, although only 1-2% of people with it actually develop esophageal cancer.

Grade 3 Fatty Liver - Liver Enzymes keeps on elevating
Last month I was diagnosed with grade 3 fatty liver through an ultrasound. I am 27 & extremely obese ( BMI - 33 ) . Just before that I had a drug reaction which led to short term Hemolytic Anemia and Jaundice . At that time everything on my LFT was elevated . It's been 40 days everything else on my LFT

bleeding in stool and when wiping
I also have
acid

which I have had for about the same amount of time as the IBS and take esomeprazole daily. I am currently on a waiting list to see gastroenterology Could this bleeding be from haemorrhoids that I’m not aware of ?

The value of yogurt for pred
The first time, about an hour later I had a nasty taste in my mouth and
acid
reflux
. It was the pred dissolving, but I thought perhaps it was 'one of those things'.

GCA confirmed after Ear pain
Just to let you know that the result of my temporal artery biopsy has been confirmed as positive today. I had the biopsy on monday, just 3.5 weeks after initially going to the GP with earache. I am amazed actually as it was a result of knowledge on this forum that prompted me to go back to my GP, after

Alendronic Acid and Methotrexate
I've had PMR for about two years. All symptoms vanished completely as soon as I was put on Prednisolone (15mg per day), but I had a bad experience with trying to reduce, as advised by both GPs and my rheumatologist, by large cliff-edge steps--from 15mg to 12.5mg, then 10mg, all in a very few weeks.

Osteoporosis
I had PMR from 2016-2019. Took Alendronic Acic for about 6 weeks but stopped because it was affecting my throat. Had bone density scan around 2017 which showed some osteoporosis and some osteopenia (record has been lost due to GP/house move). I was offered an Infusion of AA which I had in 2017/2018.

Awful chronic nausea
Looking theses condition up, they all link them to not just the nausea but also
acid
reflux
and heartburn, neither of which I have. The recommended treatment is PPI’s, which don’t seem to have worked for me, so now I am worrying that I am stuck with this nausea.

Alendronic acid
I’ve just achieved the slow taper down to 3mg and am feeling fine. But I’m just wondering about how long to stay on the AA for. (I’m taking into account the trauma of snapping a tooth off last night (a front one) when biting into a square of chocolate and not being able to see a dentist until Wednesday

severe osteoporosis and op drugs
is there people on here with L5 t12 who don't take any op drugs and take the risks of fractures, when I was dx I was told I must have zoledronic acid infusion to help me followed by prolia, I thought I was doomed unless I had treatment, I asked for another dexa scan before my 2nd infusion on the 25th

Update: Tooth Extraction delayed because of risks while on Alendronic Acid
my dentist now informs me that having digitised my tooth X-ray and reconsidered, it could be saved with root canal treatment by a specialist, cost £800 to £1000, starting with a consult of £100. Alternatively I could proceed with extraction, however he will not do it, he would refer me to an NHS hospital
