Hi, I’m after some advice, I’m a 40 year old male and this year I’ve not been feeling great. I’m tired a lot, depressed, anxiety, no energy, high cholesterol and just generally feel awful much of the time. I’ve not been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and didn’t even know what it was at the start of the

A tooth with a life of it's own!
Hi, all. I wrote in several months ago about a painful tooth. My dentist couldn't find anything wrong with it. He finally referred me to an endodontist, and he did a root canal. Found several issues. Would have been nice if that had been the end of it, but no! The pain would not go away, and I

Supplements to reduce glutamate
I was inspired by Widebody's comments on taurine and glycine to look into supplements that reduce glutamate. I found the following on an autism website that I cannot vouch for, but here is the list: (those of us taking gabapentin, pregabalin, horizont are taking medicine that is reducing brain glutamate

Advice on Vitamin D, K2 and Folate
Hi Everyone I have recently had a range of blood tests done, unfortunately I don’t seem to have any results for thyroid which they were supposed to do. My GP has asked me to make an appointment to speak to her, so I’ll ask why I haven’t got any results for thyroid and whether the test was done.

Xtandi (enzalutimide) SEs Part 2
Since I've increased my Xtandi from 80 mg to 160 mg, I am now experiencing a bad case of the jimmy legs (restless legs) at night. I take my Xtandi around 8 pm. I still work full time and I've read that taking it at night helps avoid the fatigue during the day. So far that seems to be the case with

Pregnacare
I've been taking this for around a year now. I've also been taking CoQ10 & Omega 3. I'm looking to add magnesium & zinc into my supplement library. Pregnacare looks like it has very low doses of everything anyway. Can someone recommend a folic acid that I should take? I'm thinking of just taking everything

News today.
Has anyone heard the latest news from “Bristol live” that taking Omega 3 fatty acids and fish oil supplements is a risk factor for AF and stroke? I personally don’t take this supplement because it interacts with warfarin, but thought those that do might like to investigate.

Muscle wasting?
Is this a PD sign? It happens anyway with age so how do you know what the root problem is? A few days ago I finished a treadmill workout in our shed and as I was walking away my legs gave out. Suddenly I was on the ground. Ultimately I was able to get up and shuffle into the house. I posted

Looking for advice, yet again, please.
I had an appointment to see my GP today regarding high blood pressure. I have been taking 10mg Ramipril for some time but recently BP has been high and erratic. Apparently, I cannot go to a higher Ramipril dose, therefore, need to change. I’m aware that some BP medication can interfere with RLS, so

Taking hours to fall asleep
Gabapentin has controlled my RLS for last year or so. I only take 600 mg at bedtime for last 3/4 months now. I have recently started having difficulty falling asleep (no RLS, just wide awake for 3/4 hours). I thought about asking for a sleep aid from GP but didn't want to take anything that would aggrevate

Zymot and PICSI
Hello, I believe this has been asked before but there hasn't been much response so hopefully maybe more might have incite or tips as time as gone by? Do you have experiences using Zymot or PICSI? Or even one thought, using both? Putting the sperm through the Zymot maze and then putting the sperm in

Prenatal Vitamins
Please could someone who has read It Starts With The Egg and Brain Health From Birth, both by Rebecca Fett, tell me which Vitamins are advised to take in the book? I have my Day 5 fresh embryo transfer on Tuesday and plan to take prenatals as if my pregnant rather than TTC. I still have so many vitamins

Newly diagnosed with PBC
Hi there! I just got my official diagnosis today and was started on Ursodiol. I have been feeling fatigued for about 13 years and no one could find a reason. In the last 3 years, my liver enzymes went up and I started getting even weirder symptoms. Neurological impairments, heart pain, muscle pain.
