Is this normal?
After Tace and the hospital saying they could offer my family member no further treatment we have literally been left alone with no medical help whatsoever for over 2 years only pain killers. Is this normal? Is there anything at all we could try any trials any new drugs? Anything?

WET AMD on a third world country
Hello, I'm from Philippines. I'm just 23 and I'm sure that I have a wet macular degeneration. On my left eye. It's totally dark or wavey on the central line. It's like there's a fluid on my eye when I look around. My right eye is starting to have the same symptoms. I've been suffering this for almost

Blood pressure medication and certain foods
The recommendation is that people taking
ACE
inhibitors
or ARBs should limit their intake of high-potassium foods like bananas, oranges, avocados, tomatoes, white and sweet potatoes and dried fruits — especially apricots. Guess what I had just eaten - yes, dried apricots!

B12 and Acne
Hello! I’ve been on 12 week B12 injections for just under two years now and I’ve been suffering with bad acne. I’m 25 years old and my skin has never been this bad - even my teenage years I was lucky enough to have clear skin. I get painful, red spots all around my jawline, lower parts of my cheeks

Pcos has anyone tried spironolactone?
Hi I have PCOS my periods are regular however I have severe hirsutism (excess hair) and acne and hair loss. They always told me to use the pill but I don’t want to because of the risk of blood clots as my grandma had it years ago because of the pill. From my research I have seen that spironolactone is

Injections for life? Will health insurance or NHS pay?
I am "only" 53 and have needed to have 2 Eylea injections in my left eye to resolve a slight bleed. So far, so good, but I am wondering if I will need regular injections for the rest of my life? Has anyone else found that a few injections can stop the macular degeneration in its tracks? Also, will my

having one’s replies switched off
I was unaware I’d committed a contravention(!) and extremely relieved the only punishment was to have my replies switched off! If we’re splitting hairs about what constitutes natural, the only additives in the products prescribed to me by Dr Peatfield are: Each capsule contains: Bovine Thyroid Gland

My diagnosis ( long but want to build support groups)
After gathering information whilst working in care when I was 19 or 20 years old, I started to wonder for the first time if I had the one thing that would over take control of my adult life. I always had very funny period which came months apart and for a short amount of time. I never thought much as

Difference after injection between Lucentis & Eyelea
After having Lucentis injections monthly for most of the last 2 to 3 years it was felt that a switch to Eyelea might help. Had the second set of injections a couple of days ago and I feel that my eyesight is slightly worse after the injections which is not something I felt with the Lucentis injections

New to The Group with Some Questions
The Arbs and
Ace
inhibitors
... Do most people with kidney disease take them? For those that do, do you find them helpful? I've read they can lower a person's GFR, so am concerned about taking them if told by the nephrologist that I should start doing that. 2).

How much cortisol in Adrenal Cortex extracts?
I saw some adrenal cortex extract products on iherb that you can freely buy. Most of adrenal cortex extracts have 50-100mg of Adrenal Cortex Tissue (Bovine, Lyophilized). Do anybody know if hormones are removed or there are still presented?

B12 and acne. Will reducing dose help?
Hi, I’m supplementing with Jarrows b12 sublingual 1000mcg lozenges, one a day. I have low b12 but the only symptom I appear to have is hairloss. Since I’ve started taking these 3 weeks ago now I’ve broken out in acne on my face, chest and the tops of my arms and shoulders. Could I try taking one every

Gentler way to increase B12 Levels?
After a blood test showing up low B12 and folate, I’m taking 5mg folic acid and 1000mcg Jarrows sublingual a day. I’ve been on these for three weeks and have broken out in acne on my face, chest and top of one of my arms. I’m just wondering if a lower dose of b12 would increase my levels without so much

After viewing a program, that common meds like Ibuprofen when mixed with
ACE
inhibitors
(Ramipril) and beta blockers (Bisoprolol) causes dangerous side effects. This stirred my curiosity, being a recent heart patient (stemi).

Breaking out in acne on my face and very dry skin everywhere else, which with little sleep due to feeding all night and feeling stressed out I cant seem to get on top of it.
