Good Morning renbarger51,

There isn't a set time frame as AMD can be unpredictable and the time frame is different for every single person.

With AMD alone, you don't go completely blind, however loss of central vision will very likely happen at a much quicker rate if treatment is stopped. It is recommended that treatment is continued to stop the leakage of fluid and stop further damage to the macular and help maintain the current level of sight.

If you are concerned about your treatment, please speak with your consultant via their secretary (either over the phone or via email)

Best Wishes,

Becky

Please do not worry too much. Blind is a very broad word. I have had 'wet' M.D. in both eyes for 12 years, not 'blind'. No central vision in left eye not my peripheral view is brilliant and has improved this last 12 months, Denny Manchester
