Dad taking time to wake up after induced coma
Hi everyone, just after a little bit of insight if possible? My dad is 65, he had a bad fall and broke 8 ribs just over 2 weeks ago. He was put in the icu almost immediately as he needed surgery to repair his ribs on the right side as one had pierced his lung. That all went well then unfortunately just

5 day constipation - how to clear?
As I've complained many many times on here, I've had a storm of IBS D* since May but my problem has eased a little due to a starchy diet and a decrease in stress. However. Last Thursday was a MESS. Not only did I go back to my old city to meet a guy I'd been talking to for 5 weeks (we had mutual friends

My dad, who is in his 60s, was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Fasciitis this past June. Apparently this auto immune disease is rare, and they don't know much about it. So far the medication they have tried on my dad has not had any real positive affects. One of which is called prednisone & and another is

Anyone have Cardiac Sarcoidosis?
I have a pacemaker, two ablations and 5 or six cardioversions under my belt. I also have a lot of undiagnosed symptoms that, according to my research, are explained by Cardiac Sarcoidosis that I am able to control myself with Prednisone, Nitroglycerin and Lyrica.

Brain Injury - Life After A Brain Injury, Care Companies and Activities.
Hi everyone, I am new here. I have joined this group for my mum who is 49 and had a brain aneurysm, which caused her to have a stroke. This happened almost six years ago which seems like a long time but it isn't for us as a family. She is left with short term memory loss, unable to work, loss of function

I was born with Craniosynostosis which affects my skull, jaw, fingers, toes and speech
Hannah is from Birmingham, and this is her visible difference story…. I was born with complex Craniosynostosis, which affects my skull, jaw, fingers, toes and my speech. I had operations at two months and 15 months old at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Growing up I had to go for regular speech therapy

Day 6 Progynova feel horrendous
I had my baseline scan on Friday and started Progynova so I’m on day 6 and return for another scan tomorrow getting ready for FET. I can safely say this is the most hormonal and unwell I’ve felt so far on this journey even stims was better. I cannot stop crying, I’ve erupted in spots and the headaches

International Volunteers Day. Day 5 of ' Our' Advent Calendar. A tip on how to give our busy Family and Carers our Thanks before Christmas.
Thank you Mrs Nails , one of our great Forum Volunteers , for letting us know that it is International Volunteer Day Today . I was planning a quiz , but instead I think it's a perfect time to add a few tips to help us show our thanks , in a practical way , and give a helping hand to those that help us
