Is it time to add Abi+Docetaxel to current ADT?
My MO said that no need to have combination of ADT+
ABIRATERONE
+DOCETAXEL although early use it has benefits but we need to wait till PSA starts to increase. Currently ADT gives good result. But I know from past topics here that early use of that combo extends 2-2.5 years castraction period .

ADT + Abirterone Failing what's Next?
What if I take chemo with Xtandi instead of
Abiraterone
and Orgovyx? Any thoughts? What has worked before when the PCa is out of control?

Neuroendocrine Prostate Cancer [NEPC]
By contrast, [i]multiple studies suggest that t-NEPC arises from adenocarcinomas as a consequence of an adaptive response to therapy, and the incidence of t-NEPC has been increasing due to the wide use of potent androgen receptor targeted agents (ARTAs), such as enzalutamide,
abiraterone
acetate, apalutamide

Any thoughts on why PSA rising but mets status stable?
I am writing for my dad who was diagnosed with PCa in 2010, after using ADT,
Abiraterone
, Olaprib, Provenge(Car-T) and now his PSA is about 5.2, with 5 mets on lliac and neck lymphatic.

Lynparza (olaparib) +Zytiga (abiraterone) better than Zytiga alone for mCRPC regardless of BRCA status
The surprise is that Lynparza works so well in combination with
abiraterone
. It has been previously found to not work well as a single agent unless there is a BRCA mutation.

Just put diagnosis on profile.
It’s a shame
abiraterone
wasn’t accepted as first line treatment. Please see profile for diagnosis. I hope by the time his cancer becomes resistant to hormone therapy there will be yet more amazing treatments available.

PEACE1 - the advantage of combining docetaxel and abiraterone in men newly diagnosed with high volume metastatic PCA (update)
I promised I'd update this as more info came in. The lead investigator, Karim Fizazi, presented a chart comparing the overall survival in men originally diagnosed with high volume (≥4) distant metastases and treated with both medicines. Their overall survival increased more than with either alone. https

{"ARTA" is shorthand for
abiraterone
or enzalutamide - both target the AR axis.} What is a high NLR in this study?

Abiraterone and heart issues
I've been on Zytiga 1000mg since last February. This week I went in for my second stress test....this time an ECG with ultrasound. They apparently have found something called LBBB...left bundle branch block. It's a delay of electrical impulses on the left side of the heart. I know that Zytiga can

For those of you still working with advanced PCa, and on ADT and Radiation. Did you still work a full schedule?
Currently on Lupron,
Abiraterone
, Prednisone with Radiation to start in 2 weeks. I am still working but need lots of time for appointments every week and radiation has not begun yet. I have a fairly big role and am not sure I can give it what it needs. I welcome your thought and guidance.

Abiraterone Abroad?
Hi everyone, Being a UK NHS patient, it looks as though after chemo, my dad will have ran out of options after chemo as the NHS won't offer
abiraterone
as he has already had Enzalutamide beforehand. He has liver mets so won't be able to have ra 223 either.
