I am to start
Abiraterone
in 2 weeks as I am away from home on business. I asked about adjuvant chemo (Docetaxyl?) and was told to start with just the Abi. Does anyone have any advice on my situation? Why would cancer return to seminal vesicles when they would have been targetted during RT?

Fluctuating sugar levels on Zytiga and Prednisone
The doctor referred us to a gastro ent. and stopped the
abiraterone
and prednisone for 2 weeks. Post two weeks the lever enzymes were back in control and the doctor advised us to restart 750 mg of zytiga with 5 mg prednisone.

Criteria for Commencement of Next Line Therapy
Furthermore, it would seem to make more sense to start
abiraterone
therapy, for example, when the PSA is increasing and before it reaches 2 ng/ml. Comments would be appreciated. Cheers, Phil

Any experience with PARP inhibitors (Niraparib)?
He has the following options. 1)
Abiraterone
with denosumab and prednisone 2) Join a clinical trial which combines the above along with immunotheraphy (pembrolizumab).

more possibilities after exhausting SOC?: Enzalutamide-resistant castration-resistant prostate cancer: challenges and solutions

My husband has been using

Zytiga (abiraterone acetate)
Does anybody get their Zytiga (
abiraterone
acetate) from India? My Aetna prescription plan was bought out by Wellcare and the co-pay went way up. Been to the Medicare.gov site etc. Out of India it's around $300 a month.

It is open enrollment time for medicare. Things that seem too good to be true?
I take
Abiraterone
acetate (generic zytiga) and all but 2 plans put me in catastrophic coverage in January. The 2 that didn't purportedly keep me out of the coverage gap all year in 2020 and out of pocket caps in the $2,000 range. If true, that is roughly $8,000 out of pocket saving.

Zytiga (abiraterone acetate) vs Xtandi (Enzalutamide)
I remember Dr. Myers being cautious regarding Zytiga vs Xtandi. He said that he generally preferred Xtandi because he said in 25 percent of the cases Zytiga could aggravate the cancer. My notes from that visit are " "In 25% of the cases Zytiga makes prostate cancer more aggressive" I have not seen

Post-race update
10 years older, on Lupron + Xgeva +
Abiraterone
+ others, and not quite 7 months since my last chemo infusion. Not my fastest ever half marathon, but not my slowest either. For those who are newly diagnosed, don't lose hope. There's every chance treatment will work fantastically well!

PSA rising but scans clear

abiraterone
but as there had been no progression on the scans he decided to wait.

Second opinion NYC or Philly
I am being offered a phase 3 double-blind trial,
abiraterone
alone vs
abiraterone
with olaparib, which I will accept if nothing better appears, but I’m not persuaded that this course is the best one, for me, at this time.
