From what I’ve researched my fathers treatment seems pretty standard here in UK (NHS). It’s a shame abiraterone wasn’t accepted as first line treatment. Please see profile for diagnosis. I hope by the time his cancer becomes resistant to hormone therapy there will be yet more amazing treatments available.

We’re now just taking each day as it comes but also trying to get in lots of things we enjoy. We just spent the weekend at silverstone to watch the MotoGP. Been to the last 2 BSB meetings with snetterton and silverstone also penned in!

I hope he has a great response to chemo. A combination of Zometa, abiraterone and Xofigo may be worth trying afterwards.

I was started on 1000mg then asked about the food effect. This allows me the same results with only 250 mg per day with prednisone. Hope this helps with your costs.
