Starting Abiraterone & Prednison 5mg - advice?
Starting
Abiraterone
as soon as it arrives. Any thoughts on what to expect? Side effects? Thanks in advance. Side note for what it is worth: I have been vaccinated and tested positive for COVID last Thursday, these past 4 days have been brutal, but I feel much better today.

Should I continue Abiraterone for 12 months, or switch to chemotherapy now?
I'm wondering if I should continue my
Abiraterone
for 12 months (to Nov. 2021) even though PSA has not dropped to undetectable. I've done 8 months now. Or should I roll over to chemo sooner than that? My MO says I am ADT/hormone-resistant. I started
Abiraterone
(Zytiga) in Nov 2020.

Enzalutamide versus Abiraterone Acetate/Prednisone
Abiraterone
acetate plus prednisone (AAP) and enzalutamide (ENZ) are examples of next-generation therapy (NGT) administered to metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) patients.

What Would You Advise Please?
I have been advised to begin: ADT ( GnRH Antagonist) in combination with Apalutamid or Enzalutamide or
Abiraterone
/Prednisolon or Docetaxel. My questions are which of the suggested medications/therapies should I choose if at all (...perhaps do nothing and just let it alone)?

6 monthly update and potential treatment questions
He was put on ADT (Leuprolide and
Abiraterone
). Looking at his age and health chemo is not an option. After 6.5 months his PSA is down to 1.2 and fresh CT comparison states the following: "[i]Prostatic lesion shows decrease in size and PSMA uptake (approx. 20% decrease in size).

Increasing Muscle Mass
He is taking
Abiraterone
(Zytiga generic). I am aware that testosterone can temporarily be increased by weight lifting.. Please, share if you have found success with certain supplements/lifestyle changes for muscle building safely with metastatic prostate cancer.

Switch to generic Zytiga
My insurance carrier has switched me from Zytiga to
Abiraterone
Acetate , which I know is the generic equivalent effective 01/21. My only concern at this point is my PSA has increased from .04 in January to .12 in July, could there possibly be a correlation? Same dosage.

Furthermore, SQLE was essential for proliferation of AR-positive PCa cell lines, including
abiraterone
or enzalutamide resistant derivatives, and blocked transactivation of the AR pathway.

Need Suggestions!!!
I ask this because many members of this forum have talked about cross resistance between
abiraterone
and enzalutamide.

Zytiga - Abiraterone - To take or not to take right now
Greetings; I have been avidly reading a lot of the posts on prostate cancer. They have provided invaluable information on the way I have made decisions with my treatment. My wife is a profesional nurse so I do have a heads up on research and the blessing of working as a team to prolong our lives together

Next Steps after Docetaxl
Reviewing the Peace trial, I don't necessarily see a benfit to the radiation and feel I should be advocating for
Abiraterone
instead. I'm open to thoughts/suggestions.

ADT Vacation
Today I received my final 3 mo Eligard injection and will no longer need to take the daily
abiraterone
acetate ( zytiga) and prednisone. I have a withdrawal schedule for the prednisone that I developed with my MO. My psa <0,01 and T < 1 ng/dl. Pretty good result I think.

Are all AR inhibitors the same?
Took
Abiraterone
(Zytiga); didn't work. Took docetaxel (Taxotere); worked for several months. Just finished 3 cycles of darolutamide (Nubeqa); PSA shot up from 33.6 to 50. MO now prescribes cabazitaxel (Jevtana). My question: Why not try enzalutamide first?
