Sixth day of our 7-day, 5 Tibetan Rites Challenge!
And I see some of us get in there, early! AMAZING!!!! Boom!!! Indeed!
And here we are! The penultimate! We are in the range of reasonable repetitions for a daily workout! Some of us are continuing with 5 repetitions, a nice round number! My pledge to myself is to keep going with daily sessions with seven once we get there.
Of course this challenge will end at this point, but the one or other Yogi might decide to continue all the way up to the maximum number of repetitions advised, the great grand number of 21!
So are you planning to embed the five rites into your daily workout patterns? Or will you return to other stretching, yoga or Pilates routines?
Let us know!
Picture is of the gifs at the Wikipedia entry. They even move in the article ! Cute!
Links from all prior days are also below. Just in case you need a follow-along video, they’re all available from day 1 or 2. The warmup is also available from day 1 or 2.
Although 5 is a good number, it’s 6 repetitions today!
I am happy to stick with 🍏🍏🍏🍏🍏on Day 6 for a while until I can do the full movement with ease. I will slowly increase after that..
It’s already a part of my everyday routine…. I have never been an “exercise “ person… prefer getting out for a walk or a swim on non run days.. … however encouraged by OldFloss & CBDB that S&F is necessary to prevent injury ..I have found the rites work well for me!! I am so grateful for this help and encouragement! Thank you!!
I did 7 repetitions of the moves and found that number ok! And these have become a firm part of my morning routine now, so I will continue on with them 👏 but will also be doing yoga and I’m going to try Pilates too!
I’ve been doing yoga on and off for the past 4 years and started off with chair yoga then I found Adriene. I enjoyed her videos for a couple of years but after a time I found she talked a little too much for my liking, she’s a great instructor but not for me unfortunately 🫣 don’t come for me!! 🙈 just a personal preference! 🤷♀️😆
I stopped for a wee while and now I’m currently doing Yoga with Tim, I find his voice is so relaxing, and I’ve recently been recommended Yoga with Kassandra by a friend so I’ll be giving her a wee go soon too.
I often like to look up traditional classic yoga classes and I’ve dabbled a bit with chanting and meditation. Meditation was a massive help to calm the storms in my mind and heart while I was recovering from treatment 🤗
I’ve done the day 6 poses. Much better than yesterday when I seemed to have howling dervishes of the storm right outside my window! Today was peaceful and I could go at my own pace (slow). I’ll probably incorporate them into my other yoga exercises.

Nice! As long as you don’t become a spinning dervish!
I did the full 7 reps today. The spinning was a bit 😵💫😵💫 but that's my fault for going too fast! My back feels great, I think I'll stick with this routine. It's so easy to fit in. Not sure whether I'll keep on increasing the number of reps though, 21 seems a bit excessive 😂 I might give 9 reps a go. Thanks for introducing us to the 5 rites CBDB 👍😊
I did the 6 today with adjustments... I will continue to do the Rites as they are so straight fwd... I remembered the order today... What a brilliant challenge... Can't wait for tomorrow
