NHS WORKOUTS AND LINKS

Some time ago I worked myself through most of the NHS exercise-related website, which I found to be a treasure trove of workouts. It contains introductions to yoga, pilates, and fun activities like belly dancing! Specifically the Instructor Live Fitness Studio workouts I always found met my needs, being gentle enough for beginners whilst intensive enough to work up some heat.

The collection of resources really deserves more attention. So I thought I’d collate the most relevant links here to all video workouts and running related exercise plans. There is plenty more in exercise sheets or rehabilitation for specific contexts.

But for us here on the running forums, the following are a great addition to a tool chest of workouts.

This looks useful, and it’s certainly comprehensive. 👏🏼 Thanks so much for all that work. I trust it’s being “pinned” so I can find it again without using a lengthy search as an excuse for no exercise! 🙄😄

Certainly is pinned! And will also be found in our folder called “At Home Workouts”. So it should always appear under healthunlocked.com/strength...

Thanks CBDB! I forgot there was more! I've been trying the strength and flex series and found they are a really gentle introduction as I often find the beginner levels on other sites leave me with more hip or knee niggles. These other things look good to mix it up!

Oh that posted before I realised😂 I meant to say I am still using the fitness studio strength and resistance 10 minute workouts and thoroughly recommend them. A bit more intensive than strength and flex but still doable. I was introduced to them on this forum.
