NHS 5-Week Strength and Flexibility Programme

As I find the NHS website for our core S&F programme slightly confusing, I thought I might just collate all relevant links here, for handy reference.

The 5-week plan consists of a series of equipment-free exercises designed to improve strength and flexibility, and I found it a great programme to do outside in a park or garden.

The workout instructions are given via a podcast and they are easy to follow. And for many, the 5th week represents a nice little workout that can be revisited whenever you need a good 40 min workout, and one you can do outside!

★ And as an addendum, here is a post of @dorsetrunner with a picture collage of Strength and Flexibility workouts. I thought it was so great, I just had to feature it here in a key post!

Hello! I'm looking at starting this.

Is there any tried and tested place where I can download the podcasts if I haven't got an iPhone?

That’s fabulous!!! Yes, in various places. Here is a web based one that should work in any phone (but will also see if I can find a native android link)

I couldn’t find the Google podcast link anymore. I think Google closed its podcast services moving it over to YouTube music.

But searching for

“Strength and Flexibility NHS”

in any podcast app should get you the right one. Annoyingly the NHS website changed sone time ago, so those links were also not kept up to date.

Let me know once you have found it.

Hello! Thanks a lot, that's what I found when trying the NHS links. I couldn't find a good link through Google!

But thanks for the link above, I've been able to download the files, so that'll work for me ☺️
