MVMT with Cailin just recently dropped a 21 min Pilates workout using just weights and a mat. And it’s standing only.
So after having been ill for the last 9 days, I thought this would be perfect to get back into the swing of things.
I really liked it, with many movements reminiscent of our James Dunne core workouts. But this time with weights. Also back muscles are toned in these as well. And by the 20th minute I had a sheen of sweat on my face, but it might have just been due to my lack of fitness.
So I can really recommend:

This looks brilliant and super well timed. I’ve just tried to book into my old Friday Pilates class to find it’s all booked up. I’ll give that a go instead!
Watched this while eating breakfast this morning - just need to find a good time to give the exercises a go! Need to go gently though because it is a while since I did any strength exercises (in fact any exercise, even running 😕 - work and home have really been full on since the beginning of term 😬).

oh dear. Frustrating when life gets in the way of living!
But a good one to start with, I think. I also was coming back from illness and the knee-touching-to-the-ground-curtsies were an impossibility for me. But otherwise a gentle but still sweat-inducing workout.
Thank you for this one, and perfect timing - I missed my regular pilates class this morning then I remembered you'd just posted one - it was just enough. Although my knees also never kissed the carpet, just did a little dip instead. I'm going to try the gentle morning pilates next - I like the way she talks through the movement, very clear and easy to follow.
Yeah, I also really like her. I’ve done a 30 day Pilates challenge with her, and those are as good as YWA, but for Pilates. I must do a bit more of her multi-day challenges.
The gentle morning Pilates you mention, is it this one? I might just try that tomorrow am.
Did this one again today, on an enforced recovery day! Strange how exercising makes you want to neglect your recovery days! So yoga and then this session, bit no row today. (Run done this morning)
