Hi everyone - I completed C25k in July last year (another lockdown runner) and in my bid to progress to 10k managed to give myself an injury which resulted in a few weeks off towards the end of last year.
I’m cautiously back in the game though and understand how important it is to strengthen the muscles once you’re doing any distance. I saw a physio and he gave me a few ideas but I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s experiences and ideas.
I’m back on a 10k training programme and feel like I’m back making progress at last. I’ve made good friends with my foam roller and I’m reminding myself how long it took for me to believe Id complete 5k. Psychology is so important, isn’t it? I’m kind of mind blown to find myself at this point - even though I’m still very much a beginner. It feels good.
Anyway - hi! 👋

Hi! Welcome! You've made great running progress and strength and flex work will be a great complement to that. Have a good look around, there's something here for everyone! Enjoy 😊
3. And for those who are doing that or their own fitness thing, we have currently a challenge live to keep us motivated: healthunlocked.com/strength...
Hello! I am loving the daily yoga on here as well as my running, really gets into sore muscles 💪 i am hoping to do a ten k at end of may but jsut sticking to 30 mins next couple of weeks as have recently graduated c25k
Hi 🙋♀️ Yes, I’ve been wondering about yoga. Ive done a couple of online flexitone classes and oh wow... the stretch is good! I think I’m just about coming to terms with the swizz realisation that running on its own isn’t enough. Pre-lockdown me did not see that one coming! 😅
Good luck with your 10k. I’m aiming for end of May as well. Here goes! 💪
