Hi everyone - I completed C25k in July last year (another lockdown runner) and in my bid to progress to 10k managed to give myself an injury which resulted in a few weeks off towards the end of last year.
I’m cautiously back in the game though and understand how important it is to strengthen the muscles once you’re doing any distance. I saw a physio and he gave me a few ideas but I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s experiences and ideas.
I’m back on a 10k training programme and feel like I’m back making progress at last. I’ve made good friends with my foam roller and I’m reminding myself how long it took for me to believe Id complete 5k. Psychology is so important, isn’t it? I’m kind of mind blown to find myself at this point - even though I’m still very much a beginner. It feels good.
Anyway - hi! 👋
