Spinal Fusion at 9 weeks
This is my scar at the 9 week mark after
spinal
fusion
of 7 vertebrae. There are 2 rods and 12 screws in my back to help stabilise my vertebrae after prostate cancer caused a compression fracture. I have discontinued most of the pain medication.

Rise in PSA and extra Eligard Injection
She suggested maybe bladder infection ( had a urine test ), too much exercise ( I have been on rehabilitation programme in pool & gym for last few weeks since
spinal
fusion
of 7 vertebrae on May 6 th) or because I hadn’t had my 6 monthly Eligard injection, which they gave me today.

lab work 8 weeks post iron infusion - advice?
I also take gabapentin 300 twice a day for other nerve damage from
spinal
fusion
. And marijuana is my last resort for the middle of the night but it doesn’t last long. I don’t think the iron infusions should be continued. I’m scheduled for another in August.

Ribocyclib dose
She was diagnosed this January and had to have a
spinal
fusion
( spreading there ) to her bone and liver. She is currently on a combination of Ribocyclib with fuvestrant. She is doing very well, with positive signs in her liver and tumour markers. She is on the full dosage of Ribo - 3 tablets.

Kyphosis treatment?
I'm worried I may never be able to get the
spinal
fusion
for fear my bones won't get strong enough. So my question is if I don't end up getting the
spinal
fusion
, will the back brace be enough to keep me upright and not let my curve get any worse?

Does spinal fusion help take away severe pain from kyphosis due to broken vertebrae? (T10-T12)
My doctor is saying that I need to get a
spinal
fusion
because I broke T10 through T12 back in 2011 so over 12 years ago and it is caused severe phasis due to my osteoporosis and from never getting it surgically dealt with at the time.

Anyone had spinal fusion on T10-12?
They're recommending a
spinal
fusion
to fix this or otherwise to live in a brace forever hoping the kyphosis curve won't progress any more than it already has. I'm wondering which is the better option if I can even get the surgery someday.

Heartened to know I am not alone in the struggles caused by pramipexole
A complicating factor for mr is that I have an 8 level
spinal
fusion
which was the original reason I was put on gabapentin - nerve bundlling and damage from that.

Denosumab vs Bisphosphonates
My metalwork did not hold, so following a further 2 fractures, I had a T4-L4
spinal
fusion
. I had a very prolonged hospital stay of 5 months, due to sepsis, and a further 3 months in a spinal rehab unit. During this time L4 at the bottom of the construct fractured badly.

DEGENERATIVE DISC DISEASE, FORAMINA STENOSIS, FAILED BACK SURGERY
I was offered
spinal
fusion
. I had a
spinal
fusion
in 2018. I recovered from the surgery but the back pain and leg pain in d form of pins and needles continued but this time a lower dose of gabapentine made me to be pain free. I eventually felt much better and stopped the gabapentine in 2022.

9 years PMR and counting!
My most compelling issues now are the fairly rapid deterioration in my joints, hip replacement 2014, fractured pelvis 2015, rotator cuff repair 2022 and now
spinal
fusion
2023 with bilateral knee replacements in the wind.

I had a
spinal
fusion
on July 17 for L4-5 due to Spondylolisthesis. I feel like I’m recovering as well as I can expect from the surgery. My hemoglobin dropped to 10 post surgery so I have been very tired but I am moving around fairly well with restrictions.
