Morning Pete and Sue. Lovely picture Pete and Sue hope you are feeling ok about the impending op, everyone's thoughts are with you.
Getting ready for quit day on Monday going to try to just have two cigs today and tomorrow, one morning and one evening which are my worst times. Have stocked up on "Cools"!! and I think a trip to the shop for gum sounds good too. Cannot believe that there are 453 members as I came upon the site my accident but am telling everyone about it, just ready the posts everyday helps.
Hubby now has to go into kitchen and stand at door for his "fix" thing he may be back outside next week, hope he weather is kind for him. Speak soon Sue x

Morning Sue, it sounds like your getting all sorted out for Monday if you can cut down to 2 cigs a day, then am sure it will help you on Monday, are you going to use any NRT at all to help you ??
Been and brought some Nicorette "cools" which I have used before and going for gum. I also have a quick mist spray from last try. Will be addicted to NRT instead of cigs at this rate!! but better than cigs.
I think the stress will be worst thing for me and someone else smoking which is why I have started before but do feel more positive this time and hearing that members have quick for weeks and even months is an incentive. Love ready the posts which make me laugh and that can only be a good thing and going to visit the no smoking cessation lady at the local chemist on Tuesday.. Sue x
Thank you for your kind thoughts, I feel fine just now, i want this over and done with now
I cut back on the cigs before i stopped as well, it helped me on my quit date, hope it helps you as well. I'll be thinking about on Monday, when i can :), and sending positive thoughts your way, you can do this, just take it a day at a time, or hour by hour, whichever helps you
I do hope your hubby gets good weather, although if it rains, it might encourage him to stop as well, even when i smoked i didn't want to stand in the rain to have a cig
Thank Sue, have tried cutting down on numerous occasions (too many to count) have tried just stopping from 20+ with NRT and always returned to the dreaded weed so thought this time would try a different way. Halfway through cancer treatment and would like to have stopped by the end and then get my life back on track. It is helping that off work at the moment cos at least not getting stress from there and I did smoke a lot whilst at work.
I will be thinking of you next week and even though you may not be able to post we all know that you will be thinking and supporting us also. Good luck and lots of love and hugs Sue x
I was the same sue, i can't count the times i tried to stop, but i never gave up, i still have an inhalator in case i need it, sometimes i just chew on it and that's enough, I know you'll get there
Thanks Pete for opening up, I thought you might. Slept in this morning 8.00am where I am usually awake anything from 5.00 onwards. Been and done shopping with hubby. Yep! still spending his money.
Simba stay positive you can do it. not easy but you will get there.
Sue I too had an inhalator , but have now thrown it away. Like you say its a nice little safeguard.
I took it into hospital with me but never got it out of the bag. Too much going on , and nosey me didnt want to miss anything.
I will be thinking of you on Monday. wish you were nearer I would come and visit. I go for my ct scan Monday afternoon. its only what they call for a baseline. So when I go back in 3 months they have something to compare with it.
I managed a lie in as well today, first in a long time I haven't been shopping yet, might go tomorrow, it's lovely that you'd want to come visit me , i know you'll be there in spirit though xx
Hi pete, if I disappear for a while its because my laptop is getting sorted. So I am using a tablet, trouble is cant find the adaptor to charge it up. But I am sure it will turn up. It will be somewhere stupid. )

Huh, more flippin tablets for you to take I hope its not too big !!
Have you looked in your fridge ?? cos I found my mobile in there once, it didnt like it one little bit, I tell you mind you it was after a night out a long time ago !!!!
Hello everyone, oh dear not a great result in the rugby! Better half will not be a happy chappie when he returns from pub!!!
Talking about finding things in the fridge, I'm forever misplacing my car keys, better half has taken to putting them in the fridge as I'll never leave the house without a cuppa tea!!
Looked in the fridge, no joy. I have a feeling I have put it in the laptop case, thats what you get for tidying up to sell your house. So I reckon I am going to be off line for a while. So sorry if I suddenly dont turn up. : (

Well fancy putting it in there gal, huh typical flippin Woman
The fridge thing Pete, not the fact you've cut your finger on a cannie hope it doesn't bleed as much as my little finger did when i chop the top of it off with a global knife! ouch!!
Chopping parmesan cheese, last of a block after a couple of glasses of wine! It wasn't pretty, arterial bleed! 4 hours in A&E before being stuck back together again. Better half fainted when nurse asked him to hold my hand in the air to control blood flow. Men eh, maybe he should of had couple of glasses of wine too!!
